I had my D&E Oct 6th
The first week of Nov I thought I had bacteria infection so my OB called in metronidazole That seemed to help.
The end of Nov it came back so I thought ok maybe its not bacterial and did a 7 day over the counter yeast infection treatment. That seemed to help.

The end of December it was back again so this time I went to my family DR. She gave me clindamycin cream to incert for 7 days. And then gave me fluconazole to take orally and another to take 5 days later.

I went to the bathroom this after none and it hurt when I wiped and there was a little blood. SO I am thinking it is back again.

yikes! That doesn't sound normal to me, Id have someone check you out.

For my D&C they gave me antibiotics in my IV during the procedure and then oral antibiotics for 7 days after, just as routine. I never did get an infection.

I have had more than 4 D&C's and never had any infections or issues at all. What you are experiencing does not sound right. Were you prone to infection beforehand? Either way I would get back into the doctor asap. ((Hugs)) I hope they can find a solution for you.

He never did give me antibiotics said they were not neccisary.
I am on normal ones right now because I have a virus and they normally give me yeast infections but I don't think it would happen as fast as the next day?
I was also told by the OB you are not supposed to treat yeast infections under 12 weeks. So they had me buy probiotics and I started taking them with the antibiotic.
If it is a yeast infection I hope I don't have to be in pain for 7 more weeks.

I used to get a bacteria infection or super yeast infection about once a year before. But every 3 weeks is just unreal.
I am seeing my OB for a ulrasound tomorrow morning so I will ask him then if they can look into the problem more.

OK this may be totally TMI.
WARNING!!!

When I was younger -late teens early 20's I used to get yeast infections every couple of months. It was annoying! Then I switched to all cotton underwear (no more satin (unless on for short period of time ) and they all but went away. I haven't had one now in years. That may sound like no biggee but (ok dating myself) at the time it was hard to find pretty cotton that wasn't granny panties.
Oh and douche will give you one really quickly.

I have never in my life Douched and all my undies are cotton. So I know this has no factor in why it keeps happening to me.
The nurse told me when I called in 2 months ago to make sure your undies are white, and when showing in try not to wash down there because you can wash the good bactieria away.
The washing this is hard for me to do and I still do it but you would not think that washing your self would cause this.

I wanted to also add that I cannot use certain soaps/bubble baths or I get infections. HUGS! I hope that it's something they can treat and I hope you get good news at the doctor tomorrow.

3 out of the 4 times I was at my parents house with in 4-5 days of each "infection" So maybe it is the soap. But not the sucky thing is getting it treated again this time because once It gets irritated down there it wont go away on it own and I get bleeding and stuff (had a little bleeding today)

Oh yikes! Well maybe the doctor can give you something that won't interfere with the baby.

When I was a baby and real young my mom had to wash all of my clothes in special soap and she could only use one kind of soap to bath me. If she used anything else I used to get bad infections. Luckly I out grew all of that. Lindsey you might be on something with the soap. I hope you fine out some answers when you go to the doctor this morning.
