So my laptop has been acting wonky sort of, it's not even 9 months old so needless to say I'm going to be a little MIA until I restore it (if that works) might be the hard drive. It has 3+ year warranty so it'll get replaced but I have so much on that hard drive I can't afford to lose. Ugh!

Enough ramblings... Cross your fingers I can at least get it booted up to do a backup then take it in to be fixed or replaced.

ugh that is such a pain in the a** ours keeps acting funny too i am lucky df went to school for electronics and knows how to fix them. you can fix it

Aww, sorry to hear that !! My lap top is acting a lil slow right now as well.. Our desk top just blew up 2 months ago.. the lap top that was supposed to be mine for school is the one running slow now .. Thank goodness for income tax time huh?

I hope you get your laptop fixed fast. I was just thinking I need to buy something to back up my desk top and my lap top. I have a lot of pictures on both that I can never replace. There are a lot of pictures of my mom on them I can't loose them.

Ugh! I just had this happen to me about a year ago and mine was only a few months old. Thank goodness I called the technical support because they had me do a few things and it restored my laptop and it kept all my documents. Hoping you can do the same!

Go to best buy and get an external hard drive today and back up your pictures! About 6 years ago, I had a computer go out on me and I lost all of the pictures of my boys growing up. I took the computer to a specialist and they only basically saved 10 pictures... It totally sucked and I still feel horrible about it.

I back up my pictures and main files at least once a week now, lesson hard learned on my end.

I'm back some stuff up now to disk, it has this program that can access even a crashed hard drive which is what I think the problem is. I've had it happen before to an older laptop before this one.

But, a big but, might be able to restore it to previous point if it's not the hard drive. Eh crap!

I just wish it wasn't happening, should have taken it up to office max when it first started acting up.

Hopefully you can save some of the stuff Celena! I have an external hard drive for my pictures and I also save them on disks too (just in case the hard drive dies).

I agree with Missy about the external hard drive...I got one for around 100$ and it was a good investment...It holds so much stuff, and you don't have to worry about losing everything!

I would say try to restore it back to a certain point. Good luck! Back up six was from sunday so this doesn't happen again.

I did a backup as well as a prior restore point restore, it worked (for now) hard drive is still questionable and need to take it in anyways. Oh and one more to the "To Do List" lol
