What did you do with your wedding dress? Did you keep it or get rid of it?

I am keeping mine. One of the best memories I have with my mom was trying on wedding dresses. Since she passed away a month before the wedding she really didn't get to see me wear the dress. The one thing that got me through the wedding was knowing my mom as least got to see me in the dress and she got to see a lot of things to do with the wedding. I paid to have it cleaned and stored in a box which I haven't done yet. Maybe I will do that tomorrow.

I had mine preserved. It sits in the closet because it cannot be stored in the attic. I would love to pass it down to a daughter.

I kept mine. I hope to wear it again if we renew our vows someday and if I ever have a daughter I'd pass it down to her. Not because I want her to wear it but you never know if she may want to take the lace from mine and add it to her own picked out wedding dress you know?

I didn't have a traditional wedding dress. Mine is something that I could wear again, if we wanted a fancy night out. I wanted my wedding colors to be black/white including my dress, so that's what I did.

Sorry I made you cry Missy. Since we got 6 inches of snow Dh had to drive me to my gall bladder test. They also messed up on the time for my gall bladder test so a two test ended up being over 4 hours. We were there for a 8am test and they didn't take me until 10 am. I was going to get a hard drive today but didn't since it snowed and they messed up the time. I plan on going out Monday to get one though.

Mine is still shoved in a bag somewhere in my closet and we've been married 11yrs. I keep saying I want to have it cleaned and packed away right but I haven't been able to afford it. Maybe this will be the year.

I brought mine to the dry-cleaners to get cleaned and she told me it would be around $150 but was going to price it out to see if she could get a better deal for me. (My dress is so nasty dirty!!)

I kind of forgot about it being downstairs so my middle son went down to see how much it cost to clean it. I was scared as I am so darn broke and it has been like 90 days and there is a sign that says any clothes left after 30 days will be discarded, no exceptions. The lady that owns the dry-cleaners is so nice, she knew my financial circumstance and saved my dress for me. It is still dirty but i have it in my house now. I was afraid that since I left it there that it would have been gone.

I am going to think of something nice to do for her. Isn't Chinese New year coming up? Maybe I can make her a pretty candle or something.

I still have mine at my parents house but am seriously contemplating doing a "trash the dress" session with it. I think those pictures always turn out so amazing.

We got married at the Maryland Renaissance Festival in traditional renn clothes. We go every year, and after paying what we did, you can bet your bootie we're wearing them again. (In fact, mine HAS been worn again.) We got married on Sept 27, 2009.

Erin's blessing dress was made from the leftover scraps from when my mom made my dress and my veil. The actual dress is in my closet. I no longer fit in it I have no hope of Erin being able to wear it because I know she's gong to be so much taller than me. lol Not sure what to do with it. I want to do something creative.

I didn't wear a wedding dress or a dress at all. I no longer own the clothes I wore when I got married.
