Is your house messy or clean? Do you clean all the time or just let it go?

It's messy because I am lazy. My craft room is currently neat though.
My goal this week is to get rid of a bunch of stuff (donate/throw away/recycle). My mother will be out of town (she lives with us), so it's a good time to get rid of a bunch of stuff without having to fight about it.

"lived in". Not messy messy, but not spotless either. With Dh and I both in school full time, me working two jobs, and two older kids involved in multiple activities...... well there just isn't much time for cleaning. lol
We do stay pretty well on top of it though. If someone pulled in the drive unexpected, I could be ready for company (except more dust than I like) before they made it to the front door. lol

I'd call it clean, but lived in...There are some rooms right now that need to be cleaned (Kids rooms, kids bathroom) they aren't too bad, but not as clean as I like them...I try to keep the downstairs company ready because i'm embarassed when the house is messy...I'm not always good at keeping it as perfect as I like...It's hard to keep the house clean when you have kids...I need to stop being so OCD about it...I also clean every day too.

Ours is also "lived in". Sometimes I get everything super clean and keep it up for a while but it doesn't last long lol

OUrs is pretty clean right now because we were supposed to move next week but it fell through and we are going to stay in the house for another 6months so I spent all day unpacking cleaning, usually its clean but lived in because of my son being home 24-7

Mine's lived in too. Hard to keep up after three dogs, a toddler and two cats, but I keep it decent enough to not make me wince when I look around (MOST days!).

Mine is clean, but lived in also. During the week with us both working and my daughter in daycare, its just hard to do much after our long days. Plus, sadly, my mental state has to do a lot with some of the cleaning. I've been so depressed since my loss that I find it very hard at times to have the motivation to do much. My fiance is good about helping me on the weekends though.

Definitely lived in, sometimes messy. DH and I both work outside of the house 5 days a week, and when we're home we like to spend more time with the kids than we do cleaning. He's off Monday and Tuesday and I'm home on the weekend, so it's not even like we can make cleaning a team effort on our days off. When we do clean it's only a matter of time before the two tornadoes run through and undo what we've done. It's definitely a work in progress.

Mine fits the "lived in" description as well. I will clean to the point of it being spotless for company or when it gets bad enough. lol

It's very clean, with the exception of the bedroom (just messy, mostly my clothes...ugh!). Don't judge, but we have a cleaning lady come in every other week. DH and I both work 2 jobs, and literally have ZERO time to clean the way we (or I) would like. Luckily we found someone who is extremely affordable, trustworthy, and lives nearby, and she takes care of all the maintenance stuff (vacuuming, dusting, kitchen, bathrooms, etc.). DH and I still "straighten up" so she doesn't have to deal with junk all over the place.
It keeps me sane.

Mine is probably too clean if that is such a thing I love to clean and usually when I'm upset that's the first thing I do.

Mine can go either way. Cluttered, but clean I suppose is the best way to put it. I try to keep up on it, and some days are harder than others.

Mine's a mess. I'll admit it When we moved from overseas everything didn't get unpacked and put away properly so my house needs some MAJOR organizing. I also HATE laundry! It'll be OCD spotless in about a month (top to bottom, fans, garage, base boards) since we've got to get it home study read.

I hear that. I feel like cleaning might be a good distraction, but the depression just has me so devoid of energy to even start.
