I used to post over at ivillage a TON (literally had thousands of posts to my name!) but since their revamp, it's been a ghost town over there. So I'm here.

A bit about me. I'll be 30 next month, DH is 30, we've been married for 4.5 years and we have a 2 year old DD together. We started TTC on our honeymoon, and we were VERY lucky to get pregnant right away. But if you're doing the math, you know that didn't work out. I had an early 2nd trimester loss, which was nothing short of horrific. I went into labor and had awful contractions for 12 hours, brought on by an empty sac of all things. We waited a couple months before starting to TTC again. It took us 18 months, a very understanding doctor, fertility testing, and a round of Clomid before we finally got our next BFP - which turned out to be our DD. In my testing, the doctor suspected (though never officially diagnosed) PCOS. I only get 3-4 periods a year.

We've been TTC #2 since August 2009. We've been through 4 rounds of Clomid in 2010. I had another loss in November (chemical). Two days ago (1/20, 12 DPO) I got another BFP and the lines got fainter. I had more hope this time since I'd had severe morning sickness since 10 DPO, and the only other time I had ms was with DD. I even made an appointment that (*sigh*) I now need to cancel.

And you know... even 4+ years after my first loss, they just don't ever get easier. The only thing I found that helped was my TTCAM (ttc after miscarriage) and PAL (pregnant after loss) groups. I'm hopeful that I'll find the same community here. Thanks for reading all this!

Thank you for the welcome. It really is just as awful each time. I never got that wonderful, falling-in-love when DD was born - I had that when I knew she was on her way, with that pregnancy test. No matter how hard I could fight it (I don't) I love all my babies - even the angels. It's just in my nature.

I'm so happy to have found others who understand that too.

Welcome, even under the worst circumstances. I think you will find this room to be full of wonderful and understanding women. They have been my saving grace since July, when we had our first loss at 9 weeks. I went on to have three more early losses and had some testing done. I think we have an answer now and we are looking forward to our stick bean I am Ashlee, I am 26 (married to Dave, 28) and have a 15 month old son. We have been trying since April of 2010. Jump right in and chat with us. It helps soooo much to have so many understanding ladies. Sorry to hear about your hard road

It's always sad to have to welcome someone to this board, but I think you'll find a lot of comfort here. All of the ladies are amazingly supportive. This go around DH and I have been ttc since July and had our 3rd loss at 11 weeks in September. TTCAL is so hard. I hope your stay here is short and you get your sticky bfp super fast!
