So I got my levels back again from Thursday. on the 14th, HCG was 43, on the 20th, they were 38....***?!?!? And my doctor is giving me the RED LIGHT to TTC saying I HAVE to wait til the levels are below five so that we know everything is out and she said if I DO get pregnant before my levels are down below 5 it would NEGATIVELY affect the next pregnancy....I haven't been able to find anything on the web that supports this and I'm supper bummed. We don't want to wait but we will if it means the health of our next pregnancy/baby but I can't help feeling like they are lying to me because the way the dr put it the first time was bascially if I got pregnant before my levels were below 5 and hadn't had a period it would be hard for them to date my pregnancy, nothing about it being bad for the next pregnancy. I'm just super upset that we have to wait even longer now and feeling down that my levels only went down 5 in a week, the week before it went from 200 to 43 in a week and then it only drops 5?!?! At that rate we'll be waiting another 2 months....ugh thanks for letting me vent

Slow dropping levels are a bummer :-( I think mine took a little over a month from my loss to go away and the whole time I was antsy, wanting to try again ASAP... Just tyr to think that it is giving your body more time to regulate and heal and be nice and cozy for the next pregnancy.. not that you want to hear that.. I know I did not :-)

I'm sorry your levels are taking so long to go down. Mine inexplicably took 11 weeks from to get to negative after my D&C and it was horrible. I felt like I was stuck and couldn't move forward. I really hope yours start dropping more quickly.
That said, my OB at the time did an u/s to make sure there was no leftover tissue. When that came back clean we decided to NTNP because we were going crazy.
Huge, huge hugs

I pray they drop real quick for you over the next week! With that said, until they get to about 5 or below you probably wont O anyway because its hard to get AF back while your body still thinks its pg. So NTNP is not going to hurt right now anyway! You could probably test out the remaining hcg once every few days to see if the levels are almost gone, and once you get that complete negative, you can assume you may o within 2wks of that. This is how I gaged one of my m/c's in April of last year. Leaves no room for guessing if a new pg is giving you positives once you get that final negative from this m/c. Again, praying for a super fast drop for you!

Thanks ladies, just so annoyed and upset right now but it is out of my control...not like that helps my feelings any!! They told me to come in to test in 10-14 days so they are going to have me come in every couple days unfortunately, or fotrunately I'm not sure if that would make it worse having to go in every few days! I said it may take 2 months, assuming they go down only 5 points every 6-7 days, that'd be 8 more weeks. I can't bear the thought of that, but again it's out of my control! I just wanna curl up and cry!

I don't think it'll take two months, it just feels like it does. My doctor's had me on pelvic rest, so I had no sex either. It definitely sucks. I hope your numbers speed up in their decline. From beginning to end, mine took about 4-5 weeks total to get to 0.

Hugs! I hope it goes down quickly! I know how frustrating it is when you just want to be able to try again.

I hope your numbers start to go down faster. I know the waiting is killer. When I had my d&c it seems like after my numbers reached 50 it seemed to go by so slow.

I think I'm even more impatient because I had to have two D&C's, if the first one had gotten everything out I would likely have already gotten my period and be actively TTC I just need to let go of the control that I obviously don't have over this situation but it is hard! Thanks for the support
