No, but I didn't have any bridesmaids either.

Sorry, I'm no help.

I didnt have bridesmaids in my wedding, but for all the weddings I have been in, I have paid for my own dress and shoes. Most times the bride has given us the jewelry to wear.

I did not pay for their dresses. I made sure to choose affordable ones for this reason.

I have also always paid for my own dress as a bridesmaid/matron of honor.

When I got married last year I didn't pay for any of my bridesmaid dresses. Although when I was picking them out I made sure the bridesmaid dresses and matron of honor could afford the dress. With my mom having health issues I was late in picking out the bridesmaid dresses and offered to pay the rush fee.

When I was planning my wedding I was going to pay half of the bridesmaid's dresses, but then we had to hurry and get married at the court house so didn't get to go through with the big wedding we were planning

Every wedding I have been in I paid for the dresses and it can get expensive! I had a casual or dressy beach wedding (the dress code was come as you want to and some dressed up while some were t-shirts and shorts). I told my bridesmaids to wear whatever they wanted to, just pick out a brown colored dress. No one spent a lot of money and they can all wear them again! At the last minute all the girls took their shoes off (myself included) and went barefoot.

Oh I want to plan my wedding again... sooooooooooo much fun!!! We turned it into a week long party and it was seriously the best day of my life. A few things went "not as planned" but really we just went with the flow and to me it could not have been more perfect!

Make sure you spend your money on your dress, getting your nails done and hair/makeup - it is your day to be a true princess!

As far as I know, the bridesmaids always pay for their dresses unless the bride says otherwise. I have always paid for mine. For my wedding, I picked out a color and let the bridesmaids pick out whatever dress they want, as long as it was in this color.

The dresses can be expensive, so I always take that into consideration before accepting an invite to be a bridesmaid. Groomsmen pay for their own also. Maids of Honor and Best Men also have to take into consideration that they will also be throwing parties for the bride or groom. All this costs $$$$. My maid of honor took me to Chipendales where I got taken on stage. I saw some strange things!!

So yes, when invited to be a bridesmaid, expect to pay for your own dress.

I didn't pay for them, but I did find nice dresses on Newportnews for $49 so it wasn't so bad for them.

I didn't have bridemaids BUT did pay for my Maid of Honor's dress. This was partially because she is my sister and was about to become a single mom. (She was 8m pregnant at our wedding.)

I am in 2 weddings this year and I have to pay for both dresses. Also with my wedding I chose affordable dresses for the ladies since they were paying for them.

They paid for their own in my wedding. I just picked a color and they picked the dress. I think they were around $80-$90

Yeah, my girls paid for their own dresses. I gave them a color, told them floor-length and to get whatever they wanted style-wise, so they all got to wear something flattering Not many people go that route, but I liked it better that way.

Well I've had a wedding and have been in three. In my wedding, my Mom, who is an awesome seamstress, made the bridesmaid dresses. I bought all the material because we happened to be in a fabric store and I fell in love with a bolt of Italian satin, lol. In the first wedding I was in, I was a last minute replacement, so the bride bought my dress because she felt bad for asking so late. In the other two weddings, including my own sister's, I paid for the dresses. In all weddings, I had no say in the dress and the dresses from the last two still hang in my closet (from almost 2 years ago). I was the first to get married and I felt bad asking my friends to spend so much money . . . I paid for their shoes and their hair too! But when they got married, I got screwed! Plus the last two weddings were a month apart and my ds was in three weddings the same summer as a ringbearer and my dh in one as an usher . . . so besides paying $600 for two dresses I'll never wear again we paid $500 to rent tuxedos (since all the brides had to have different colored tuxs . . .grey, black, and charcoal!)

I always bought my bridesmaid dresses. My friends were very kind to me on the price, so yay!

I returned the favor when I got married. I knew I wanted all the girls to wear black knee-length dresses, so we hit the stores after New Year's to check out all the little black dresses on clearance. We found a style that flattered everyone and was $17 per dress!

DH with the girls:
