Well I went back to the ob yesterday to have an ultrasound to measure the cyst again. It has gotten bigger not smaller. He called it a dermoid cyst (?). He said the oonly real way to get rid of it is to have a laperoscopy (?). It will be an outpatient procedure that will only last thirty minutes to an hour. I am frustrated. I was so hoping for good news at this appointment. Part of me was even hoping they would say hey there is a baby in there! but nope! Hopefully I will have the surgery in the next couple of weeks. I am sad because I was really hoping for a bfp this cycle so that is off the table for this cycle and probably the next cycle as well. He said that the cyst can cause problems during pregnancy and if I were to have surgery while I was pregnant then there is a high chance that I could have another m/c which I definately do not want that to happen. I was reading last night that this particular cyst can cause a m/c and can affect you getting pregnant. The doctor said having it removed will definately help us and that the other ovary looks extremely healthy and he could see healthy follicles. So I have high hope for the cycle after the cycle. Sorry for the rambling. I am trying to see some good in this. (Side note: I have never had surgery before so it scares me a little.)

I'm so sorry that it turned out this way I know waiting to TTC is so frustrating. I hope that the surgery goes perfectly and you have your BFP in a couple months!

I hope the surgery goes well and you end up pregnant soon. You must be very frustrated with having to wait, I am a very impatient person. ((Hugs))

I had an ovarian cyst while pregnant for Brock and it was huge! I was supposed to have it removed laproscopicly, but I also needed my gull bladder removed and appendix so I had major surgery. Anyway, all went well. Surgery isn't to bad. But I have what my nurse called beauty queen syndrom...I cry after surgery..about everything lol

Definitely sounds frustrating, but also could be good news. Since they can remove it and it's a problem causer, maybe you'll be problem free after that.

I'm sorry that you have to wait ttc. I've not had that kind of surgery but have gone under in the past and it's not bad.

I hope you get your BFP in a couple months once you are all healed from the surgery.
The only surgery I have really had is my csection but I think that is a lot worse than what you will have done. I know how scary it is to think about though Please KUP. I am sure everything will go just fine.

Sorry about having to wait. Hoefully by having the cyst removed you will get your BFP fast. Happy they could get you in for your surgery fast.

Yay for getting you in that quickly. The surgery/recovery from a lap isn't bad. I've had three and will have my 4th on the 15th. If you have any questions please feel free to ask here or PM me.

I'm sorry it was bad news But like PP(s?) have said, at least now there's a fixable problem that, when taken care of, will hopefully increase your chances of getting pregnant! Sorry it pushes your schedule back though, waiting freakin' sucks.

I'm sorry about the surgery and having to wait, but it looks like overall you have a good chance of removing a problem and going on to get your bfp. I hope your surgery goes smoothly!
