So we'll be getting our tax return back a few days before Valentines Day, and DH has been getting Sundays, and Mondays off lately (Which is why I haven't been around in chat) and Valentines Day falls on a Monday! We'll be able to go do a night out, without money really being any of an issue.

I was thinking dinner and a movie, but I checked the stuff that's coming out in the next two weeks, and there doesn't seem to be anything that'll capture DH and mine's attention. There aren't any plays or performances around here that time either. And we don't have any place to go dancing in town either (our town is pretty lame lol) So all I have is dinner at either Olive Garden, Red Lobster, or Texas Roadhouse.

Any ideas on what we could do?

I'm totally jealous! My dh is two states away and will be until April! I'm not liking the new job so much, even if his new income is nice.

Are there any B&Bs nearby? Dh and I have celebrated at a few different bed&breakfasts and we think they are a lot of fun. A nice place to get away and just enjoy each other's company.

We have done this and its awesome! It is valentines day spread out all year long!

Spend a couple hours together writing romantic ideas on separate slips of paper. After you get a total of 100 romantic ideas on 100 pieces of paper, then fill a jar with them. Every Sunday, from this day on, alternate who picks one and has to implement it by the following Sunday -- at which point the other partner will pick a new romantic idea and have a week to follow through with it.

Take the money and get a couples massage

Oh, I am so bad with Valentine's ideas... usually we don't do anything. We are kind of lame I like the idea of the bed and breakfast or the couple's massage, though. I'm glad your tax refund is turning out better than you thought

Whatever you all do on Valentines day just remember it is not about how much money you spend on each other but the quality of time. You can always make more money but memories you can not buy.

Have fun Amy! do you guys have casino's around here? I know they do here, and I heard some of the rooms are really nice! we've never stayed, but we've talked about getting a room for the night, doing dinner etc..I hope you can find something fun to do!!!

Missy- Very very true words

Megan- There is the option of going to Vegas or Mesquite (a mini Vegas) since they are so close, and we are considering it. Mesquite actually has spa/room packages and such i'm just not sure if its a good time to go or not. Bound to be very busy.
