So, girls, I am coming out from under the "lurker" covers today. After having spent several months reading this board, I am officially joining you. I chose today because I just got AF on Friday and we plan to TTC officially this month.
I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks in October 2010. I started bleeding like a period at five weeks, but the U/S looked good. Two weeks later, after teaching school on pelvic rest and continued bleeding and worrying, it looked like it did at five weeks. And two days after that, I miscarried.
It was not at all painful physically, but emotionally it was tough. I still have my days where I can't stand seeing pregnant women or hearing about someone giving birth. Other days, I'm just fine. I went to one of my friend's baby showers a few weeks ago and could be nothing but happy for her!
We could have started trying again after AF in December, but that would put my EDD toward the first month of school. In an effort to keep as many sick days as possible, I really want my maternity leave to coincide with some school break. The baby we lost in October would have been due in June. If we conceive this month or next, the baby will be due in November or December and maternity leave will coincide with Christmas Break. If we don't conceive in February or March, we will wait until the summer to TTC again.
We did not have any trouble getting pregnant the first or second time around. We got preggo the first time after one month of NTNP and that 9 months was happy and healthy as you can see in my siggy. Miss Audrey is 3 next month. I have been a member of JM since I got pregnant with her. When we began NTNP in September 2010, it only took one cycle as well. However, that ended in m/c and I will never see pregnancy the same way again.
Anyway, I hope you girls will have me. :-)

I'm sorry to hear about your loss You told us all about your journey, but what about you? Like... What's your name?
Good for you that getting pregnant doesn't seem to be problematic! I wish I were that fertile And of course we'd be happy to have you here while you're on your journey! Congrats on TTC again!

Thanks, girls!
I could have told you my name! I'm Lydia. I'm 31 and live in Kentucky. I teach high school. I'm addicted to Primetime TV, except reality shows (except "American Idol" -- I love that one.) I sing in my church choir and spend a lot of time with my 3 y/o.

Welcome Lydia! I am so sorry that you had to join us and for the loss you suffered. This is a great bunch who will understand those emotions and fears that you go through when you start to TTC again after such a thing. I hope your stay here with us is short!
I also have an Audrey (she's 2) and I also live in KY! So I know you must be good people for sure.
