Hi, I'm Cindy. I had a miscariage the end of oct, and bled for about 2-3 weeks. After that I had my period December 12 and haven't had one since. I often get crampy and feel like it is going to start, but nothing.
This cycle is going on over 55 days.
My normal cycles are 34-36 days, and my longest was 39 days.
Another weird thing that I'm not sure if it matters is that my last period before i got my bfp was only 15 days before so I must have been pregnant when I had my period. I also started bleeding before I took the test.
Is this normal after a loss, if I hadn't already had 1 cycle since the loss I wouldn't be worried. Should I make an appt w/ my dr or wait a little longer?

Hi Cindy -
I am so sorry for your loss It is not in the normal range for you to go 55 days. I would get in to see the doctor. Since you have had one cycle I don't think it is anything urgent but it could be a cyst that is causing this. I had a cyst over the summer and skipped 2 cycles... very frustrating!
Welcome to the group. ((Hugs))

Welcome to the board. I am very sorry for your loss Cindy. I agree with Missy. I would go to the doctor and get checked out. Sometimes after a m/c it can take awhile for our bodies to get back to normal so it might just be that your body isn't back to normal yet, but I think you should go to the doctor and see if they can check your hormone levels as well as do an ultrasound to see why your cycle is so long. HUGS!

I am so sorry for your loss I agree, I would call the doctor just to ease your mind, and maybe they will prescribe you something to bring on AF if they can't find a reason for the long cycle.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Have you tested to ensure you haven't gotten pregnant again? I would call the dr either way. Good luck.

So sorry to hear of your loss.
I would definitely make a call to your doctor to see what they think. In the meantime, I'd probably also take a test just to see if its + or -.
good luck!

Thank you everyone. I have taken many tests and they are all negative. I have also been taking opk's and had 2 almost positive one on 2 consecutive days. I didn't test the day before, so maybe I had a very late O this cycle. Going by o'ing then I would get af around the 7th -10th. But again I'm not sure if I o'd then all opk's tet lines have gotten way lighter since then.
I've also gained some weight recently so maybe that has something to do with it? I'm going to try to lose some of it and see if af shows u by the 10th if not I'll call my dr. I was just hoping that maybe this was normal!

Your body may just be getting back into the swing of things. If AF doesn't arrive by the 10th I would call and get your hormone levels checked.
