Hi ladies! I found out I was pg on 1/14/11. This is my 6th pregnancy with only two births. Everything started ok, my last cycle was 12/15 but my cycles are so crazy so I'm not exactly sure when I ovulated. Please take a glimpse at my numbers below...I know they are really low, I'm just wondering if there's any hope.
1/14: HCG 242, Progesterone 20.1
1/17: HCG 474
1/19: HCG 832
1/25: HCG 1532
1/27: HCG 1496 (nurse called and said I was miscarrying)
1/31: HCG 1994 (nurse can't explain it)
2/1: Abdominal U/S shows gestational sac in my uterus but no fetal pole, dr say's it's a blighted ovum
2/2: HCG 2996, Progesterone 9
I know my numbers are really low but I'm praying that I'm earlier than we think. According to my LMP I was 7 weeks for my last Beta draw. This is the first pg where I've had all of the Beta draws so it's very confusing to me. Any advice?

I am sorry you've had all those losses. I will say that in the beginning it sounds like it was a little low, but ok, as you have gone on though things have not been adding up. You should be doubling every 48-72 hours and those last few draws were definitely not doubled. I have, unfortunately, heard of women who have not had a viable pregnancy keep having their numbers go up. They don't double, but they do tend to keep rising a bit until the body recognizes that the pregnancy isn't viable and you begin to miscarry. By six weeks they should be able to at least see a yolk sac, perhaps a fetal pole. I am sorry to say that I am not sure you have a viable pregnancy....but then again....there are always those times that turn out to be miracles. I would keep up with the blood draws and the u/s to see if anything changes sometime soon..good luck....sorry again.

Thanks. That's pretty much where I'm at. I know the numbers aren't good but I was holding out the slightest hope. We go for another u/s this Monday so hopefully we'll find out one way or the other.

So sorry for this horrible roller coaster your on, its one ride I wish no woman had to be on. I too had a blighted ovum about 12yrs ago, where we kept holding out hope cause the levels rose to over 60,000, but the sac just kept getting bigger and bigger with no baby. At around 12wks I finally m/c. There was a yolk, but never a visable fetal pole. Im wishing you some answers soon, and praying for the best.

What an awful situation to be in, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this I don't have any experience with blood draws and numbers, so I don't have any advice to offer, I just wanted to drop by and tell you that I hope you get some answers soon and can at least stop worrying. (Of course if I could hope one extra step, I'd hope that it's all just unexplainable and it all turns out well.)

I'm so sorry you are going through this!
I guess I'm a firm believer in holding out hope as long as you can. Sometimes tests can be flukey.

I am so sorry that you are going through this. I hope you get some answers soon. You Progesterone level is very low for a viable pregrancy. With my last pregrancy my Progesterone level was that low and we lost the baby. I don't mean to scare you.

The doctor did agree to put me on 200 mg of Prometrium twice a day even though she doesn't think it's a viable pregnancy. I told her until we are sure I want to do everything I can to give the pregnancy a chance.
