Does anyone watch Grey's Anatomy?

Those of you that remember my journey, I had a partial molar pregnancy last year. I was just talking to my mom about Grey's. She said it showed Callie saying something was wrong with the baby. I told her they need to have a molar pregnancy on there or private practice so that people would be more aware of it.

Well, I sort of got my wish. It was weird hearing them mention molar pregnancy on there. Of course, they didn't go in detail about it so people still don't really have a clue what it is exactly. It was just nice to hear them say it. I always felt like people thought I made it up b/c of what I had to go through.

Lisa, I'm glad that they did get molar pregnancy out there for the world to see. I find that I am almost always disappointed with the way they deal with the emotions of pregnancy loss on TV, though. It just never quite seems right.

I agree. It seems like here lately they are showing more people having a m/c. It also seems like they just go back to the way things were. They don't show the whole gloomy side and how long it actually takes people to start recovering from a loss. I won't say get over it b/c I have never totally got over my loss.

I know! I am so glad they are "mentioning" it at the very least. But I am a little disappointed they did not explain it better. If I did not know what a molar pregnancy was, I would still not have a clue from them mentioning it. The only reason I know what it is is because I looked it up after I had been on here for a while with you. I felt stupid and wanted to know what you were going through.

I also get irritated with the "gloss over" of pregnancy loss. I mean, they lose a baby and the next episode they are rolling around in bed laughing? Not quite. No wonder people who have not experienced loss have no idea what it entails or what to say. They expect us to be back to normal the next day...which is just hurtful.

I definately think they should do more on how people actually handle a m/c and other losses women experience. I also am a huge Greys fan!!

I love Grey's, but I have not been happy about the shows lately. The whole Kallie thing seemed stupid to me. I get upset when I hear stuff about mc on tv though. Although its nice to see that everything doesn't just happen magically the way you want it, I don't think they are very good at relating the true emotions a person feels after a mc. I watch tv as a way to escape reality and I guess when I see this stuff it makes me think of my reality and I always end of crying.
