Where did you get the idea for your tattoo(s)? I know what I want I just don't know how to incorporate it all together!

I don't have any, thought I considered getting one in college. All I can say is, thank god I changed my mind. I will try to find what I wanted to get. It is SO cheesy.

That's why I've waited so long to get one. I didn't want to regret anything. I either want one to represent my family - police (me), firefighter (DH), and our angel baby or just something to do with law enforcement. All the law enforcement ones I can find are just so manly.

I don't have one, but if I were ever to get one it'd be Cora's footprint on my foot. For a while I considered a phoenix on the small of my back...just because I love the symbolism of the phoenix, kwim?

I found things that looked kinda like what I wanted, then brought it to the parlor and told the artist what I wanted, and he designed it.....here it is....it says "meus angelus vigilo" which means "my angels watch me" in latin (pic is from same day being done)

I searched the internet with an idea in my head. Then took some pictures to my guy and asked him what he could do and explained what I wanted. I also got my kids names on my wrists, my angels names are with my weeping angel and I have one on my arm for DH. That one isn't finished yet. I love my angel. I want to have a professional picture of it and put on my wall so I can see it all the time .

I haven't gotten an angel tattoo yet. I plan too (but I have eight total) sometime within the next year I plan to get a lion on my side with rainbow colored angel wings, since lions are signified to represent light.

But I have tons more planned.

i havent gotten my angel tattoo yet. a close friend is designing similar phoenix tattoos for hubby and i. but i do have ones for my other kids. i have a dolphin on my left breast with the Chinese character for true above it, everyone thinks its a lantern lol. and on the nape of my neck i have a butterfly with a ribbon that says riri. and for rowan i plan to get a pixie.

I have 2. Both of them I looked around on the internet, decided basically what I wanted and then I drew them up and took them to my artist.

I love all of them!! I think I finally decided what I want to get. If it looks stupid to everybody else I don't care. It will mean a lot to me. I'm going to get a set of handcuffs on my shoulder but instead of them being black or silver I'm going to do one side light blue and the other light pink. That way I have my passion (policing) and the pregnancy and infant loss awareness colors to represent my angel.

I haven't gotten my angel tattoo yet. I plan on getting one for both my living children (after my next rainbow baby) and the angels. I am going to get my living childrens footprints with their names and DOB's then surrounded by I hope 6 stars. I know one star will be blue for Spud, and another will be nestled close to CJ's footprint for his twin, but I'm still designing it in my head.

I absolutely love tatoos....I have just never gotten one. I was looking through the posts on the sept 2010 pr today and I found a thread of tattoos that the women have gotten and I was totally inthrawled....love them!

Just an FYI....my angel tattoo is from before my loss, so while it "works" for that it was not meant for that. I got it after I had an accident (fell in a hole lol...seriously) I was in the hospital for a time and I really felt like I had someone(s) keeping watch of me.

My first tattoo is a dragonfly against the sun. I really love dragonflies.


My second tattoo is a 4 leaf clover. I got that after having a really vivid dream about it.
