Hmm...I think I was 15 when I had my first kiss. I just remember it being somewhat sloppy and rather gross, I only went out with the guy because his best friend was going out with my friend.
My first "real" boyfriend was a great guy I met in my first semester of college. I was a late bloomer when it came to the emotional stuff. He was an artist and a poet and a passionate man who just swept me off my feet. He was also my first "real" relationship, we stayed together through most of my undergrad years until I got tired of him cheating on me.
I met DH when I was 32, actually just about exctly 5 years ago, I think our first email coorespondence was Feb 15th. We met online. Being that I was not exactly marriage minded, I found it odd that I felt so drawn to him...I loved short term (2 week or less) relationships up until meeting him! So after our first date, I decided he was the one, and moved in 2 weeks later. In retrospect, he never actually invited me to move in.... we still joke about that. Poor guy, he wasn't even quite over his previous marriage, and there I was, all moved in and playing house. Took us a while to really mesh as a couple, (3 years!) and now we're super happy together.
I'll post a pic as soon as I find a good one.

I don't have a snack cupboard! DH usually has a box of oreos and a bag of pretzels in the kitchen...that's the closest we have to one.
And my favorite dessert...that depends on the type - for cookies, I love sugar cookies and oatmeal raisin. "healthy" desserts - I love fresh strawberries and cream. Cake- white cake with white frosting (I know, sugar overload!) or spice cake with cream cheese frosting. And I'm a sucker for tiramisu.
And this is a pic of DH and I - we actually got married in a hospital waiting room in 2006, and for whatever reason, we never got a picture of just him and I - I mean, we had the picture of us mushing cake in the other's mouth - but all the pics were of the family or had someone else in them. So last May, after we decided to get back together after a brief separation - we went ahead and re-did all our wedding pictures. It was so fun...partially becaues I got to wear my dress again, and partly because it sort of felt like we were getting married all over again.

I'm going to have to say neither - I'm a suburban girl through and through :-) I have friends who have a house waaaay out east of Denver and while its fun to go visit them (they have about 5 acres) - not sure if I'd like to live there all the time. As for the city...too busy. Where we live is perfect - a really nice suburb about 20 minutes from Denver and 45 minutes from the mountains. DH loves to ski and we're only 90 minutes away from Vail, which makes him very happy.
And I love my house!!!

Why did you get married in a hospital waiting room? What brought you guys back together after your separation (hope that's not too personal)?

Well, my sister was on her 3rd month on the heart transplant list, waiting for her heart. And it was the week of Thanksgiving...and DH (boyfriend at the time) and I had known that marriage was sometime in the future, but we really weren't sure when it woudl happen. But, my sister is my best friend, and I always wanted her to be my maid of honor...and honestly, we weren't sure if she'd get a heart in time (she was on a machine pumping her old heart for her) and if she did get a heart, we sort of wanted a destination wedding and didn't know when she could travel. So the day before Thanksgiving 2006, DH and I decided to just get married on the Saturday after turkey day, as his dad was in town as well as his boys, and my family was obviously around. So luckily, I had a dress (I found it when my sister found her wedding dress earlier in the year)...my parents baked a cake, and a great friend of ours performed the ceremony. ANd my sister was my maid of honor, feeding tube, VAD device and all. :-) And she got her heart 2 weeks later!! It was magical.
We actually separated because we really got married too soon, before we figured ourselves out, and it had been such a stressful time for us (we had only known each other for 9 months when we married). So we separated just about a year ago for 4 months...and while I was "done"...DH was not.. and he basically used every tool in the book (he's a life coach and knows a lot about relationship counseling...) to woo me back. It took everything, from re-anchoring our "first impression" of each other - basically we were at the point where we'd see each other and instantly get angry - so we made it a point when we had a "date" - that the first thing we'd do is kiss, hug, and get passionate...even if it was in the garage. After a few weeks of that, I really looked forward to seeing him, I can tell you that! Quite honestly, the trigger for our separation was my m/c in Sept of 09 (he didn't want a baby, I had just realized I did)...and one of the best things to come out of the experience was that we both really got on board with having a baby together, so that anchored us even more.
And nope..not to personal. I figure if our experience can help someone else...then it was all worth it!

This one is MY dog...her name is Sage and I absolutely love her. She's a Chinook with a little something else mixed in, not sure what...or she could be purebred, although they're a pretty rare breed and I found her at a shelter at 2 months old. This is her at 2 months...
[IMG] [/IMG]
When I met DH, I had 3 cats, and found out that he is very allergic to them. So I had to find them new homes, and part of my grieving process was to get a puppy of my own. I do love her, she's odd...very vocal and talkative.
The next one is Gus, he's DH's dog. A hound mix, he's a loud barker and a very loyal dog. I like him, but my love for Sage trumps just about everyone else in my house!

And the third one is Bella. SHe was DH's ex-wife's dog originally, but when they split, they couldn't bring themselves to separate the two, as they'd been together since puppyhood. She's an odd little Bichon, they're normally supposed to be "happy and merry" but she's rather morose and contemplative. SHe's sweet though and keeps to herself as much as possible.

Ooh...this one is easy. Vegas!! I have an odd dislike of water, so while I'd love the heat of the some sunny beach in Mexico or the Carribean...I cannot say that a beach escape is really what I'd call my favorite. So Vegas it is. Nether DH or I gamble (don't really enjoy it) but we do enjoy getting away and getting crazy together in a place where really (hopefully) no one will recognize us.

Would you believe that my stash is only about 3 preg tests? I make myself wait and go buy them when I want to test...I find it really helps with the late night test fever when all the cheap HPT stores are closed and I don't feel like hauling my bod out in the cold to spend way to much at a 24 hour store.
And my all time fav vaca - was Paris in October 2010 with my parents, sister and brother in law. We've always loved to travel as a family, and while it wasn't our first time in Paris, it was a promise my dad made to my sister while she was in the hosptial to go to Paris, so we finally just got our stuff together and went. I'm quite close to my family so it as a great bonding experience, as well as fantastic food!!

Lisa, what a great story you have of your wedding. I was so excited to read that your sister got her heart two weeks later! Also, thanks for sharing your story of your reconciliation with your dh. My dh and I briefly split up a few years ago for kind of a similar reason (I was freaking out because I had never been with anyone but him since I was a teenager), and getting back together was the best thing ever. Your story would be a great inspiration for couples going through marriage counseling.
Can you share your favorite meal with us?

Ooh...my favorite meal - I love breakfast foods. My dad makes the best scrambled eggs and pancakes - so that's definitely a fave. But I love most foods, in fact there are only about 3 things that I really don't like, and I can never remember what they are unless they're right in front of me. There are foods I prefer not to eat due to health reasons...but most foods? I love them all !!

I'd have to say my favorite color is either burgandy/maroon or pink. Usually I pick pink, but it reallly depends on the shade :-)
And my car is a Lexus IS-250, black with black interior. I'd take a picture but its taken a beating from all the snow and yuck from the past two weekends and its pretty dirty. I usually keep it super clean but I've been lazy this week!

Hmmm....this is a very good question. I'm not sure if I own anything bizarre any longer, when I moved in with my husband 5 years ago, I still had a very full apartment that was definitely mine, and full of all my wierd stuff - but I let my good friend, who needed a place to stay for a few months, to live out the rest of the lease - and his payment for taking care of the place was to basically keep everythign in the apartmtment, with the exception of my clothes, books and some of my very personal belongings. Everything else, he either kept or threw away.
I know I must have had some wierd stuff in all that.
