For those of you who didn't see my other post, I had a very positive hpt on Saturday. I'm pretty sure it's a new pregnancy, but I'm not totally sure since I haven't had AF since my mc 5 weeks ago and there is the slight possibility that some weird tissue retention issue could be going on. I doubt that, because I did have a basically negative hpt about a week or so after the mc, but I don't want to get my hopes up and then have them crushed, either.
Anyway, the update for now is that I called my OB's office this morning and talked to the medical assistant. She talked to my OB, and he said that he doesn't want to order any tests right now and instead wants me to come in to the office in 2 weeks. I was a little surprised since he had me get a beta hcg right away with my last pregnancy and I wasn't even in limbo at that time, but I'm o.k. with the decision not to get betas done because they did cause me a lot of stress before.
I have scheduled an appointment with him for two weeks from today (the 21st), and will hopefully get an u/s that same day. He has the equipment to do the vag u/s right there in the office. In the meantime, I'm trying not to worry or obsess. If you guys don't mind, I'm going to just hang out here and think of myself as not pregnant until it is officially confirmed.

Your stronger than I am lady. I would be wanting to be seen now and getting at least betas done to see what is going on. And of course you can stick around. KUP!

Jess, You are a lot stronger then I am. I would be on the phone or in his office demanding him to see me. I hope this is your BFP.

Totally! I was just thinking that this is like my 2ww, since we weren't technically trying again yet and I didn't have a regular 2ww.
I am being much stronger than I could have imagined. I think I'm just still numb from my losses and trying to accept what will be, will be. If this had been December, I would have totally been begging them for additional tests or an earlier appointment. I'm even resisting the urge to POAS again- don't have any more hpts left in the house. I'll probably cave and buy some before the end of the two weeks, lol.

Jess, is it safe for you not to go to the doctor? If it is retained tissue (lets pray its not!) isn't the risk of infection really high? I just want you to be ok. ((hugs))

Thanks for worrying about me, Missy. I thought about that, but I'm really feeling fine. I haven't had any spotting, bad cramping, fever, or anything. If I do, I'll get in to see the OB early. He was pretty pro-active before, so I figure if he thinks I can wait two weeks, I'm o.k. as long as I don't start feeling bad. Of course, if it does turn out to be retained tissue, I will be REALLY bummed. I'm trying not to get my hopes too high, but I'm pretty sure it's not retained tissue just because I passed the sac whole and I can't imagine what else could be left.
