Hi all

I always see you girls referring to FRER - is that the best? I saw someone post about Answer being on sale - I am a "don't buy anything without being a sale" girl. So I just wanted your thoughts... Is Answer reliable?

Also, I always see you post about dpo testing? When has been the earliest you have seen BFPs? What day is best to wait? Has anyone seen a BFN one day then a BFP the next? Just so curious. I have always waited until a missed period, but you have me intrigued....

I have had the best early results of FRER's. And yes, have had a BFN one day then a glaring BFP the next. I have actually never used Answer tests that I can remember.

And although I'm a chronic early tester- I think 11-13 DPO is the best time to start testing if you aren't an addict.

Ditto what Sam said about 11dpo is where you should start early testing.

I personally like the Answer brand tests. They are cheaper than FRER and work the same. If you are concerned about cost, then here is a real bargain. These are new cheapie tests out there with a pink handle. Many of the girls here have had luck with these tests. I bought 50 of them on ebay for $15.00!

The picture shows the blue handle tests but I got sent the pink wondfo brand. 50 Pregnancy Test Strips FDA Fast Discrete FREE SHIP! - eBay (item 120489183440 end time Feb-27-11 19:10:38 PST)

I got the pink handled ones on Amazon and the time was darker than any other test I had taken even the FRER. I got a positive at 9dpo

I can say that FRER is more sensitive than an Answer test. I got two positives at 8DPO (evening) and 9 DPO (morning) on a FRER and the Answer did not pick anything up yet. But I know my beta counts were really low and therefore, I don't fault Answer. I have heard of FRER getting lots of false positives lately, so I know lots of people are switching over now. I liked Answer tests, so yeah, they are reliable. I had dark positives by 11DPO on them (beta around 50 or so).

The earliest I have ever gotten a positive was 8DPO. But that is very, very rare. I think I might be a consistant early-implanter though, since we all three of my pregnancies that have progressed past 6 weeks, I have gotten the positive at 9DPO (a definitive one). I think that 11-12 is the best time too. Since there is more variability for implantation.
