Have you ever known of a non-pregnant woman wearing maternity clothes? What do you think about that?

Hmmm I have never known that.... kind of weird I guess unless you just gave birth and are getting back into your older clothes...

Well I wore them for a little bit after I gave birth . . . the pants felt the most comfortable on my tummy and I considered wearing the shirts when I went back to work because my boobs were too big to fit in my preprego shirts, but I ended up finding time for some shopping before I actually went back.

Maybe you guys have cuter maternity clothes there lol. The ones we have around here in stores are quite plain and bulky.

My SIL never stopped wearing maternity clothes after her first. She gained 80 pounds with him and kept trying to squeeze into clothes in the junior section. She refused to buy clothes for her larger frame. He just turned 2 and she still wears maternity clothes. I think it is okay to continue to wear maternity clothes for a few months after the baby is born that I think it is time to wear regular clothes. I think it makes it harder to lose the weight if you use the maternity clothes as a crutch.

I still wear maternity clothes! I don't wear pants non pregnant though...Right before I lost Ella, I had just had a shopping spree at old navy, so all my maternity clothes were brand new...Then with my 2nd loss, same thing, I just bought a ton of stuff...So I still wear the tops even when i'm not pregnant...they don't look maternity at all, just a bit longer, which is fine by me...I love maternity clothes! (they are so much cuter now than they were when I had my girls years and years ago)

I can understand the pants if you had a c-section and the scar area is sensitive. It seems like it would be more comfortable than normal jeans.
I personally hate maternity clothes. Probably because I never splurge and buy cute stuff, so all mine feel like the equivalent of a sack of potatoes.

In my old DDC, people started saying that they needed maternity clothes already at 6 weeks. I think they were just getting fat from "eating for two" (two college age boys who love McDonald's).
When I was pregnant with my son, I avoided all maternity clothes. At the end, I just wore my husband's pants. I normally wear men's pants anyway because women's clothes fit me oddly. I don't have much difference between my hips and waist, so men's jeans look better on me.

I still wear a pair of maternity jeans (not the ones with the full belly thing) because they are the only jeans that fit... but with a long shirt you can't tell. They're from Motherhood Maternity and they actually make my butt look really good!

The maternity clothes I owned 9 years ago (during my last pregnancy) looked like tents with arms. I would not have worn any of it out of the house after I had my DD.
I can't wait to buy some of the new maternity clothes that actually let you show off a bump in style.

I wore my materinty clothes after I had Mia for about 3 or 4 days. I looked for larger sweat pants and tops in my closet right after those first few days. I LOVED wearing the maternity clothes while pg this time around (hated it at the end with all my others), but I embrased every day I was pg until the end with Mia, and knowing I would never wear them again, made it feel different this time.
With that said, I would never want to wear them while not pg......would make me feel fat and frumpy........its always my goal to get back into my nice sexy clothing right away, lol! We used to buy maternity clothing for my grandmother because she had really skinny legs and but, but a huge @ss stomache, lol.......

guilty as charged! lol I still wear my maternity jeans from my loss because my regular ones still don't fit me and I'm planning to get pregnant right away again so I don't want to wasted money on a bigger pair when after the baby is born I'll wear maternity jeans until I can fit in my largest regular jeans. Having said that, my maternity jeans look exactly like real jeans just with no zipper, I wouldn't wear them if they had the big bands on them, this one fits me and looks like regular jeans! As for the tops, they are too flowy on me to wear when I'm not pregnant.

And also, I have a tilted uterus, I was literally showing with my son at 6 weeks and with my angel baby at 3-4 weeks. Stuff just STOPPED fitting!

Those are the ones I wear! When I was preggo I actually couldn't wear them because the elastic put too much pressure on my belly but now they are perfect....until I can fit into regular jeans again.

I still wear a few of my small tops because you can't tell they are maternity tops at all. I figure I might as well get my money's worth.

I wear one long sleeve maternity T-shirt for every day...but you can't tell AT ALL that it is maternity. Actually alot of my "maternity clothes" when I was pregnant with my son weren't actual maternity clothes but babydoll shirts and that type of thing. I had them when I was single but quit wearing them when I got married b/c I knew everyone would think they were maternity shirts. Then when I was pregnant I actually wore them. I miss them though...I love maternity clothes.
