Hi everyone!
I've lurked forever but DH and I have finally decided to begin TTC again after 3 losses. All of our losses were not planned pregnancies (but defintely wanted!) and hit us so hard because of the way they were spread out over a couple years and because of my body's reaction to them. I do have a beautiful daughter who was my first pregnancy and with the exception of the traumatic labor and birth, that pregnancy was uneventful.
My first loss was a little boy due to a trisomy (I can't remember which one) towards the end of my first trimester. Ended in D&C.
My 2nd loss was earlier in the first trimester and they called it a blighted ovum. Ended in D&C. They thought there was a possible blood antibody problem but a specialist ended up discounting that.
My 3rd loss was a chemical and I didn't even go to the doctor for that one (I know I should have but I was so depressed and sick from it I just gave up for a long time).
My new gyno started me on Be-Yaz to get my periods/pms under control but it has been a nightmare (um 5 day periods twice in a month and migraines are not working for me) and I've decided to just quit the BC and go right into TTC.
I'm at a loss as to what I should be asking the doctor or how to start the TTC process. With DD it was just "let's try!" and boom, baby! How did you guys start the TTC process? Is there any advice you can give or steps beyond the obvious (eating healthier, etc.) that I should take? I don't want to go in blindly with a new doctor. Thank you for any help and I'm glad I'm finally joining in
