Oh my goodness, I have NEVER O'd this early, literally never, in all my history of charting ovulation and such. My OPK is aaaaaalmost positive, I'd say it will definitely be positive sometime today, probably next time I pee. I'm on CD 14, which means I'll probably O CD 15, CD 16 at the latest, and the earliest I've ever O'd is CD 18. Oh my god, Soy 160mg CD 3-7 and 75mg DHEA, you are a LIFESAVER!!!

We BD'd Saturday morning at 9am
I think we're gonna BD around 1 or 2 today to give the guys time to make it to the egg so they can hopefully be ready and waiting
And then Tuesday we won't be able to BD until 10pm, so that one will probably be too late, but we can try it anyway

Question... I took my temp this morning and it had jumped from 97.3 to 97.9, which is normally where my post-O temps are. maybe, but I usually sleep nude, and last night I slept in full sweats, top and bottom, and socks, AND I took my temp at 10am instead of my normal 5:15am, so I'm assuming that temp rise is all thanks to that and not an indication I've already ovulated. (I always get a +OPK 1-2 days before I O, and if my temp rise were today, I would have had a +OPK yesterday or the day before. If I got a temp rise today and a +OPK today, that would indicate I didn't get a +OPK until the day after I O'd...) Does all of that sound about right?

I wouldn't count today's temp, maybe override it?

Missy is the reason I'm taking it, so she would know better, but I think she said it helps preserve the eggs or something? Like, it makes them healthier longer, maybe after you ovulate them? Or while they're in the follies? I'm not sure... Something about increasing some kinda window though!

There's several things effecting your temp, so it's possible that you need to discard it BUT see what the next few days do.

Dhea... it does help boost the quality of eggs, also helps you luteal phase and hormonal balance.

I swear that between that and soy is why I had gotten pregnant last time, it was a year after our last loss... but I had only been on the dhea for 2, 3 cycles and soy for 6 (maybe 7)

I have to say that I noticed a huge lift in my moods and even some weight loss while on it. I am going to start taking it again because it made me feel so good. Just took a break from everything tho because of our loss in January

DHEA Beneficial Effects
The investigators at CHR have been using the mild male hormone dehydroepiandrosterone DHEA now for a number of years very successfully in women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR), whether their ovarian impairment is due to advanced age or premature ovarian aging (POA). In doing so, we have been able to demonstrate that in such women DHEA supplementation has quite remarkable beneficial effects (see Table 1), which all can be summarized as rejuvenating ovarian function.

During all that time of DHEA use at CHR, we have carefully monitored side effects of the medication and have been impressed by how rarely even the most common side effects, such as oily skin, acne and hair loss, seem to occur.

We, however, have been even more surprised that quite often what we really heard were anything but side effects; indeed, many more patients than complained about side effects, commented to us how much better overall DHEA supplementation makes them feel. Table 2 summarizes some of the specifics.

Now comes a study, reported in the prestigious Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism (Davis et al. 2008; 93:801-8), in which investigators from Australia report that DHEA appears to improve cognitive functions in women. Specifically, they noted that higher endogenous DHEA levels are independently and favorably associated with executive function, concentration and working memory. It seems our patients knew all along what they were talking about!
