I had my appointment this morning to just see where I was at with the m/c I had over the weekend. We used the cytotec to induce things on Friday and it went pretty much the same as it did the first time I m/c. Everything looks good but she just did an internal exam - no u/s. I am still cramping a lot but hopefully all that will be over soon.

They are sending the embryo off to a lab for testing. They may or may not be able to test for the gender, depending on what our insurance covers I think. They also are doing the tests on the bloodwork they took on Friday. We probably won't get the results from any of this stuff though until the end of this week or next week.

Then they are sending us to a high risk facility at UT (University of TN) for preconception genetic testing. I think this will be the other half of my bloodwork that has to be done after my levels go back down so it won't be until March 10th. Also they may or may not do bloodwork on Jeremy.

So hopefully after all of this they will be able to give us some sort of answer. I am glad our doctor is being proactive about it and not waiting until we have 3+ losses! It makes me feel better.

So glad your doctor is doing the testing now. I had to wait until I had 3+ losses to get testing however they did do testing on my son (first loss). HUGS!
