Checking up on you :) (preg mentioned)

Hi ladies,

I have not really participated on this board recently (yeah, I know it is not supposed to be weird, but I feel bad)...but still lurk a lot! I see that things are picking up again, a little at least. I hope you ladies have a great month and have a huge boom move outta here!! You are always in my thoughts and prayers. I hope I see most of you ladies in other DDC's and off to other things very soon.

Things are good with me, so far. I am 8 weeks tomorrow and my sono yesterday showed ONE (we lost the twin, it was absorbing already) healthy baby, with a strong heartbeat of 175. He or she was measuring 8 weeks, 1 day

So I hope this is really it for me. I am past the point of three of my losses and possibly the fourth, depending on when he stopped growing. So I am mostly feeling positive about things. I hope this is our rainbow baby. I feel pretty good, just irritable and a bit nauseous. But I can deal. I tend to think this is a little lady, but I have a whole 12 weeks (or so) to wait to find that out! Thanks for being such a great support for so long!! Here is a pic from yesterday:

Every time I see ultrasound pictures, I have to resist the urge not to see other pictures in them For example, in yours, I see a close-up of the Creature from the Black Lagoon's face. Two big eyes and the mouth in the bottom right. Hopefully this doesn't offend, but I know you have a weird sense of humor, like me, so I thought I would post it.

Thanks ladies. I have to admit, the loss of the twin was not terribly shocking. We never really "knew" for sure that there was one until we lost him/her. So I can't say I really am feeling sadness about it. I went into this pregnancy hoping for one gorgeous, healthy baby...and that is what we have...so I have to be elated

And shad...lol. I do that too sometimes. Liam's first sono looked like a weird clown to me, just given the shape he was in and the black-vs.-white breakdown. So, nope, that is not offensive...more funny! You are right, my sense of humor is off kilter
