What was something that someone said to in IRL or on JM that really helped you?

One of my mother's friends bought me a necklace with a angel on it so that my angel would always be close to my heart. I wear it all the time. It really helped me.

After my first loss a lady at the hospital who was my one nurse when I came out of my D&C said to me "Your baby was perfect. That is why your angel went to heaven and didn't come here. God knew that you are strong and he needed your perfect angel in heaven with him." That has always stuck in my head.

I don't think anyone said anything particularly helpful, but I don't think I struggled with it very much, so I didn't really need comforting. I am a very internal person when it comes to this kind of thing. i handle everything in my mind. That kind of makes me sound like I internalize and go into denial, but that wasn't the case at all.

The one thing that was said a lot later that I liked what something I posted about a while ago where my husband made a statement about the baby leaving because the body wasn't good enough and that it will come back again. So, I've never felt like I lost anything.

I believe it was Tobi who told me that something was wrong with our angel so God took it to fix it and will bring back to me later. I know I have the wording all wrong but that has always stuck with me. If she sees this maybe she can correct me!

Honestly, I don't really remember anyone saying something helpful that really stuck with me. I think the most helpful things were "I'm sorry" and "I'm here if you need me".

It was really sweet when my boss bought me a cookie on our coffee run - it had chocolate chips on top in the shape of a smile and said I needed a smile He knew about the m/c but didn't really bring it up directly after the fact, just got me the cookie.
What was not helpful was some moron on my DDC saying something about God's plan this and that. Sorry but I'm still mad about it. It might not have upset me if it was a friend IRL or even on JM but it was a stranger so I didn't like that..

A good number of people told us, "When you're ready, try again. Future babies will never take the place of Drew, but you're going to be great parents, so don't rob the world of the people you will raise." It was REALLY nice to hear, all those different parts.

nobody really said anything, but with all my losses I know they are being watched over by my grandma, she passed 2months before my son was stillborn so I know he was and is well looked after, same with my other 9 losses, they have their great grandma
