I just had my throid levels checked again since they change the dosage of meds. For the ladies that have thyroid problems can you tell me if these levels look good or not.
In December I had a m/c and they said my throid levels were low.
In December my T4, Free was 1.27. Yesterday test my T4, Free was 1.44. I am worried because my T4 went up. I was told in December my T4 was to high which was making my TSH to low.
In December my TSH was really at 0.02. Yesterday test the TSH level was 0.17. To me the TSH level still seems low.
I am on 175 of Levothyroxine which in December I was on 200.

Stacey, I think my doctor shoots for at least 0.5 on the TSH value, but I'm not sure. I'm not as familiar with hyperthyroidism. I hope someone can give you some good advice!

While pregnant, my endocrinologist wants to keep my TSH on the low side (which makes you overactive). At my last appointment it was .03 and he was happy with that since I am currently preg. w/twins. He said they will use up my thyroid so he wants to keep it on the low or overactive side. When not pregnant, he likes to keep it anywhere between 1 and 3. Pre TTC I was on 125mcg (I had the radioactive iodine and have a non functioning thyroid), but when we started TTC he bumped me up to 137mcg. Now I am on 175mcg.
Your number went up which is good since your dose has decreased. Sounds like you are going in the right direction.

My RE just lowered my dosage of synthroid because my TSH was too low at 0.34. She says it's important for it to be between 0.8 and 2.
I don't think T4 measurements are useful once you're being medicated because the whole point of the medication is to replace or supplement your T4 or in some cases T3. Before starting the meds my TSH had climbed up to 8 (it was normal right after my last miscarriage but started climbing). I was put on 88mcg of synthroid and that brought my TSH down too low (0.34) so I was just switched to 50mcg.
I agree your TSH seems really low - see whether your doc is ok with lowering your meds.

It is more important for you to feel well. How do you feel right now? Any signs of hypo or hyper symptoms?
My TSH is currently .22, which I am happy with because I am having no symptoms. I recently switched to Armour. Before the Armour I was on levo and my TSH was lower, but my T$ was high and my T3 was low. So I needed help since i wasn't converting the T4 to usable T3.
Did your docs test T3 at all? If not, then they are not managing you properly.

I agree that your TSH seems a little low and your free T4 a little on the high side. My endo keeps me between .3- 2.0 I feel best somewhere between .5 and 1.0. You may need another dose adjustment. Only once has my endo increased my dose by more than 1 increment and that was right after I had Bourne.
I hope you get it figured out soon. I hate, hate hate the thyroid roller coaster!

Looks like you're getting some good info! Like some of the others here, I don't know anything about thyroid levels, just wanted to swing by and offer support and hugs! Hope you're able to get it all figured out.
