Do you text message? How much do you text message?

I am really bad. I just text messaged my son asking him to get me a can of diet coke and he is in the room next to me. I text message my husband all the time if I am in my room and he is in the livingroom. I also call my boys all the time when we are in the same house. It is better than screaming for them! Yeah... I have issues.

I don't even have a texting plan I really don't feel a desire to be that tied to my phone, even though I feel like a granny sometimes

I text constantly. DH's sister and I are attached at the hip. We are constantly texting each other. We would be poor if we did not have unlimited texting.

not much. I do text, but mainly because it's easier than trying to call DH. I also text back and forth with a few ladies from work.
I don't mind it,just don't really have anyone to text back and forth with a lot. We don't have unlimited texting because the most I have ever gone over was like 10 texts and $1 wasn't worth the upgrade to unlimited.

You know I love to text Missy....but with some people it's the only way I ever communicate with them. Plus, I like to keep track of my oldest daughter that way. She can't talk during school, but she can text .....so it's a good way to keep track of what's she's doing and whatnot....

I text my DH all the time, even in the same house. My 10yr old texts me all the time related to her diabetes and I text a few other people (umm... Julie) but most people I know don't have text or know how to use it.

I don't have a cell, but I do have instant messaging that can send to cells free of charge--so I use that a lot.

DH and I instant message across the house.

Missy, if I did not have unlimited text..........I would never of been able to afford the $300 in pee sticks this month lol..........

I text my kids, constantly.......and mostly Missy. All of us in this house text eachother when its dinner time, instead of yelling up and down the stairs. I Text my 16yr old with threats like this : "Its 11:30pm, if your not home in 5min, Im calling the police". I wait 5min and of course he's not home yet, so then I text : "called the police", and I get an instant phone call on where he is, lol......

even if you don't have unlimited texting, you can download apps that do . . . but luckily I have a texting plan & so does dh. We text all the time . . . little things to tell each other we love them or have a good day . . . I also text my sister a lot. Conversations on the phone with her can last a minimum of 2 hours, so sometimes it is just easier to text her something when I don't have the time to talk.

Was there life before texting? And seriously, while I remember it...life before the internet was the stone age

I text all the time. DH and I email and/or text each other even when we're going to sleep to say goodnight (he's usually up in his office working when I go to bed). My family stays connected (and we're really close) by email/text most of the time as well...none of us are that fond of the phone, except for DH sometimes. He's old school.

I love how much easier it is to be connected now. My mom connected with a 2nd cousin who lives in Paris who no one knew about until recently on Facebook. How fun is that?

I text my friends and family all the time. We can't afford unlimited, but I still manage to stay under my monthly quota of 1000.

I have to empty my message box at least once a week. I don't text DH when we're in the same house (unless I'm sick) but I will text someone next to me at work or in a meeting if I don't want everyone else to know. I've learned to keep a pretty good poker face with some of the texts I get
