so i have opened up a dayhome, right now i only have one little guy who turned two today,he is teeny tiny and he was born at 30weeks. He is the cutest.
Anyways...
In order to get my dayhome up and going I went out and bought some things I didnt already have...like a baby swing, bouncy chair, 3playpens, etc.. Because alot of the interest im getting is from moms with kids 4months to a year.
So thats all said and done and my house is officially baby and kid friendly beyond belief ( it was already kid friendly)
But as I sit here looking around... i am thinking to myself, and I told SO this too, when I finally get pregnant... I want to go buy a different swing, bouncy chair and all that stuff..(this is where the crazy part comes in) These ones, ive always wanted...they are the ocean wonders set and i got them at the second hand store... but they are for my dayhome...
Do i sound crazy?

I know thats like really far ahead pre planning, but id love to go to babies r us and buy the ones i want now...i want everything to be perfect when we finally have this baby.
With my daughter, i didnt have the choices I do now, and with my ex we didnt have the money to buy what we wanted...playpens,bouncy chairs and swings were something we never bought.

so SO thinks im looney tunes .

I do not think that is looney at all... The supplies you bought recently are for your business, a source of income for your family.

When you do get pregnant and have a baby you should have all new stuff if you can afford it!!

I agree with Missy! I don't think it's crazy at all and I know I would feel the same way!

My childcare provider has everything separate for her son and the daycare even though she also has it in her home. I don't think it's crazy at all. Have fun with all those kids though. I don't know how my provider does it. Plus she has structured time; they are always doing art projects and lessons with the different letters, colors, & shapes. Every week has a different theme. She really prepares the 3/4 yr olds for preschool or kindergarten. I have a lot of admiration for those who can do all that with such a wide range of ages. Good luck!
