Do you have a wedding ring? Do you wish you could upgrade it or will you keep the same ring forever?
Feel free to post a picture of your ring!

I love my wedding ring. Dh didn't know what kind of ring to pick out for the engagement ring so when he asked me to Marry him I went with him to pick out the engagement ring. My wedding band was made in memory of my mom. Our birth stone was Sapphire so I have sapphires in my wedding band. I will try to share a picture later. I am at work also.

No wedding ring here. (DH is too chicken to get married..haha) but I do have what he calls the "I'm yours" ring which I love. It is very simple but exactly what I wanted.

I am married but I chose a house instead of a fancy wedding and a ring. Our wedding cost $500.
I don't like to wear jewelry and I am superstitious about have a symbolic object. I would feel like something bad would happen if I lost the ring.

Love my ring!
Firs- my first marriage I had the crappiest wedding ring set. The ex took his sister shopping who hated me, and I ended up with 1/8 carat in a tiny. tiny set. BTW he was gainfully employed, money not an issue. And I found out that his previous wives (I know should have told me something), had very nice rings. Made me feel like he wasn't invested or didn't place the same 'value' in me.
Anyway, this time DH wanted me to have an awesome ring, and I really wanted some color in it so we decided to add emeralds (my favorite gem). We ended up with Leo diamonds and three emeralds. I do want another band to balance it- maybe for our 5 year or after we have #2.

My engagement ring is the most special thing in the world to me, as far as possessions go. DH made it. Yes, made it. And yes, it's a real ring. I'll see if I can dig our nice camera out of hiding and take a good, in-focus close-up. DH's step-dad makes a living as being a VERY skilled potter, and before that, he did jewelry. He has all the tools, so he taught Zach how to use them and he made the mold. Because it's a SMALL town they live in, they then took the mold to a local jeweler, where the owner of the store let Zach do the rest of the process, too. The ring has 7 diamonds, one "larger" round one in the middle in a bevel setting (I think that's what it's called), and 6 smaller ones, three on each side, in a triangular pattern.
But he spent so much time on the engagement ring I guess, that he completely forgot about a wedding band. He remembered 3 days before the wedding that he needed to buy me one, so since we were in a hurry, we commissioned the same guy to just make our wedding band for us, so he molded one to fit the engagement ring.

I love my ring! I picked out my bridal set. My engagement ring is a princess cut solitaire and it fit into my wedding band which has diamonds in it. I will post a picture when I get home.

Sam - I love that you have color in your wedding ring! I love unique rings.
Erin - that is so cool...what a sweet story!
Jeremy got me an engagment/mother's ring for my first mother's day. It has Ethan's birthstone in it I loved it so much that we decided that I would just use it as my wedding ring too. Also, I didn't want to wear two rings (engagement and wedding ring) because it feels too constricting on my hands and my fingers tend to swell.
It means so much to me...and we can add onto it as we have more children too

This is a bad pic (from my webcam) but these are my rings and I LOVE them...of course, I should, I picked the set out. When DH proposed he used a bubble gum machine ring cause he didn't want to be the one to select the thing I'm gonna wear for the rest of my life lol
The wedding band is small diamonds halfway around and the engagement ring is one larger diamond, one smaller on either side then the same small diamonds to match the band half around.

I have a wedding ring and of course I love it. Dh picked out the engagement ring all on his own and we designed the wedding band together to match it. He knew I liked my Mom's wedding ring, though, so he picked one similar in shape, but with a bigger center diamond and more diamonds down the sides. I wear it most of the time. When I was pg, my hands swelled and I couldn't wear it so dh bought me a plain gold band that I still wear to the gym or when we go on vacation.

Dh did the same thing to me the first time he proposed. . . the ring had purple hair and eyes. I still have it although it is now missing an eye . . . lol.

I love mine as well. When we bought it they let me know that if I ever wanted to trade it in on something different I could. It's my wedding ring though, I'd never trade it. The wedding band is little diamonds halfway around the band. The engagement ring is the same way but it has what looks like a huge stone in the middle but it's actually four small square ones together made to look like a big one.

I have a simple, plain white gold band that matches my husband's band. These weren't our first rings. When we first got married (when I was 18 and he was 19), we had some cheapy diamond rings. I never liked the rings except for the fact that they were all we could afford at the time. His ring actually cracked in half, so for our 10th anniversary we decided to get new rings. Since I'm totally not into jewelry and I also have very small fingers (with big knuckles, which results in a ring that slides around), I did not want a ring with any stones on it. I'm very happy with my simple band and plan to keep it forever. The only thing that might make me upgrade would be another simple platinum band.
