I started bleeding and cramping this morning. I don't understand, was it a chemical pregnancy...bad luck? Can anyone give me more insight on chemical pregnancies?

I am so so sorry for your loss. I do not have any insight for you. I know there are other ladies who can give you some information.

OH NO! I am so so sorry It's just not fair! I would call your doctor and see if they will do some testing. They can check hormone levels, check for chromosome issues as well as blood disorders. I wish there was something I could do for you.

Aww, thanks girls. I'm going to demand further testing now, this just isn't fair to myself or my poor fiance.

I agree it's not fair. I would push for the testing. Sometimes we have to get a little mean but honestly if we don't stand up for ourselves no one will.

I'm so sorry!
I agree be pushy to get the testing. I've never been a fan of the term 'chemical pregnancy' because all it really refers to is an early loss, there is no true diagnosis as to what caused it.

I am so sorry. A chemical pregnancy is any loss before 6 weeks if I remember correctly. It is very unfair and I would for sure ask for further testing.

I'm so sorry.
Really, a "chemical" is just like any other miscarriage. Just really early. There's nothing really different about it in the medical sense, it's not in a different category.. so I don't really like the term either.
I would push for the testing too. I've had full testing so if you have any questions feel free to PM me.

Oh no, I'm so very sorry. I agree with the others "chemical pregnancy" just means really early, that's all. IT was still a pregnancy and still a loss so I'm so sorry for you. Any time you see that second line on those tests you get excited and for it to go away is terrible. I'm sorry and agree with the others...push for some testing. Hang in there, only time will make it better.

I am so very sorry for your losses. I have been where you are and I demanded the testing and a referral to an RE (Sorry- I don't know if you are seeing an RE already).
If you are interested in reading my experiences with recurrent early losses (most would be called "chemical" but... like the others said, I don't particularly like that term) please check out my blog. Also, there is a page at the top called "My Experience with Welcome Womb" that you might want to check out.
It is heartbreaking to have a loss. I am so sorry that you have had to endure the pain of three.
Many many hugs for you. Please know that you are not alone.
My post about recurrent losses and my appointment with the RE
And this is another post where I talk about getting the results of the testing (there is a pregnancy mentioned in this post)

No, I felt it was pointless. I'm pretty sure my levels are or are almost back to zero.
I'm going to push testing for progesterone and blood clotting disorders. The ultrasound tech and doctor both said that my uterus, ovaries, etc are structurally normal.
