For you ladies that have sucessfully had a natural miscarriage. How long did the bleeding last?

I started to naturally miscarry on Monday and Im just wondering how long I should expect this to take. So far not to much pain and flow equivalent to a medium to heavy period.

My natural m/cs were with early losses. And they were basically like a really bad period with horrible cramping & clots. I would call your doctor if you feel something is off (we know our bodies better than anyone else). Hugs! I hope it gets over with quickly & painless as possible.

I was at 9 weeks when the bleeding started and had had an ultrasound at 8 weeks with a heartbeat, so I know it was viable the week prior. about a week and a half after the ultrasound, I got the heavy bleeding which lasted about two hours and then I went back to spotting for 2 weeks. So, from beginning to end, it was about 3 weeks.

The longest one was my first which was right around 7.5 weeks. I bleed off and on for almost 4 weeks. The first few days were the roughest, physically.
The others were earlier and were more like a heavy period.

Mine was at 7w 4d. I bled for about a week.

I lost mine at 6 weeks and bled for about 4 days, then had spotting for a few, then bled again for 2 days, followed by a couple more days of spotting. The heaviest bleeding was like a heavy period and there were clots. It was only heavy for a couple of days.

Its so different for everyone and for each pregnancy.
My first one I spotted then had a couple hours of really heavy bleeding with a lot of clots.... then I went on like a normal period for days after and maybe by the week point I was spotting very little where I could go with out even a liner.


Right now I am waiting to miscarry and Tuesday I had spotting and it got darker I passed 2 pea size clots and now 2 days later Nothing is happening. My baby passed away at almost 9 weeks So I dont think that was it I think I am just gearing up for it to happen.

I naturally miscarried on thursday 03.03.11 but was spotting off and on a week prior. The day of I was bleeding a heck of a lot and had cramping / constipation pains. That pain was so bad and it lasted about 2 hours. After everything passed the pain was immediately lifted. It's been a week now and my bleeding is very faint. Just when I think that it stopped the spotting starts again. enough for just wearing a liner. Hopefully, you will have a painless one. So sorry for your loss.
