Hmm i'm not sure...I miscarried at 9 weeks, I know the baby died sometime after 8 weeks because I had an ultrasound at 8 weeks...I saw my baby and opened the sac etc...It wasn't even that developed assuming my baby was 8 weeks, so I really don't think that would be a 6 week week old baby IMO....My baby was smaller and the limbs were not that developed.

It looks real however I don't think she was 6 weeks along. My babies at 7w5d along did not look like that. Arms and fingers are not that well formed at 6 weeks.

I am not positive, but was also thinking it was further along than 6 weeks.

OH wow so I they showed the growth stopped at almost 9 weeks so I might acually see something?
Might sound weird but I hoped I would just so I know I passed and everything.

I also looked at that pic when I was miscarrying...my baby stopped growing at 7wk 5 days and I saw nothing, just clots and one thing that looked like a sac.

I think there is a good chance you might see something.

Both times our baby was still inside it's sac...

The first time we saw the umbilical cord and I think what is called the chorionic villi. We could see all the way through the sac and could definitely tell it was our baby.

The second time we saw the baby inside the sac however it looked like it was a little more "broken up" inside the sac than the first time. It was a little more cloudier looking in side the sac and we almost couldnt see the bottom half of the baby. The umbilical cord was still attached to the sac this time but that was about it.

Both times after the m/c I passed the placenta in pieces here and there.

You might be able to see something Lindsey, but i'm not sure since your baby passed awhile ago...My baby, placenta, sac etc all came out together, whole, sac still filled with water, because i don't think it had been dead longer than a day or two...I know from when I lost Ella that she was gone for 2 weeks before she was born and her body had already started to break down and she was bigger, so I assume that the smaller they are, the less it takes to break down (if that makes sense)...I hope that doesn't sound insensitive.

On ultrasound Monday there was still a sac but it looked like just a bunch of tissue laying on the bottom (looked that way 2 weeks ago too). 2 weeks ago he said the baby was already breaking down so maybe thats why he said I wont see anything because its almost been 4 weeks since the baby passed away.

From what you are saying about your u/s's, it does not sound like you will see a baby, but more of the sac itself. I cant imagine seeing a little baby like that photo, I think thats why I always opted for the d&c's when i was past 8wk on a m/c. Mentally I could not handle the memory of that, but I know alot of women could and probably need to for closure. Just praying this go's smoothly for you physically speaking anyway.

When I miscarried at 6w4d, my sac came out whole, round, and filled with fluid. It happened so rapidly and without warning that I think the baby must have passed away within hours of passing the sac. It was kind of an amber color and had some blood vessels and whitish stuff visible around it. I could vaguely make out the yolk sac and embryo inside the larger sac. I saved it for a few days before burying, and just before burying I peaked at the sac/baby again, and with the fluid drained I could actually make out the embryo. It definitely was not as developed as what is shown in the pictures in that link. Those pictures, if real, look more like a 9 week embryo (7 weeks gestation). This is what a 6 week embryo (4 weeks post-ovulation) should look like:

my own personal experiences taken into account,
when i have m/c'd at 6-8weeks, all i saw was clots etc. but sorry for tmi here, my last mc was at 10.5weeks, it was weird because we saw the hb the day before, and the next day i mc'd everything.... and that pic is exactly what baby looked like.

I am wondering if she meant that the baby was 6 weeks past conception rather than 6 weeks past here LMP like we usually measure?

I think those pictures are real, but are from further along. At 6w the fingers are not that well formed. With my first m/c when I passed the sac it was still closed and I remember seeing the baby's little eyes (just like the black dots in the picture). It's very possible that you'll see something, but I don't know how well formed everything will be.

I think its going to be broke down already because we are going on a 4 weeks soon since the heart stopped beating.
I was spotting and passed 2 tiny pea size clots Tuesday night and have really had nothing since only like some brown mucus looking stuff every now and then.

Lindsey you might actually only pass small clots if you body is breaking it down enough.
