Emergency Surgery (loss mentioned) x-posted

Some of you already saw this on my FB, but thought I would share here as well.
I had to have emergency surgery last night. I went in for sharp burning lower abdominal pains and found out that it was caused by an Ectopic Pregnancy. 3 weeks ago, I thought I was having a m/c, but it was blood from the baby being in my tube

They also did a D&C. I was home by 9pm and asleep by 11. Already awake here at 5:15am due to pain. OUCH. I feel like I was someone's punching bag. My stomache all swollen and tender and my chest hurts to take deep breaths. They had to put me under. Thank GOD for my wonderful DH, I called him at 10am yesterday and asked him to come home asap. ( I NEVER do this, so he knew something was wrong) got to the hospital at 11. Had blood drawn to see if my levels went down to 0 from my m/c and surprise, they had gone back up. Doctor sent me for an ultra sound. When I returned to him around 3:30, he told me what he feared was now true and I needed surgery ASAP.

I was in shock. I called DH which is when I finally broke down and cried. He rushed to the hospital. (Thank God we live with my parents, they took care of the girls) I was in surgery by 5:30 and home by 9:00pm. What a day. Now I am couch bound so lots of laptop time LOL I hope none of you ever have to go throught this. And if you have, my heart goes out to you. Not only physically painful, but emotional as well

But I guess the cats out of the bag now, everyone knows we are TTC #3. That will be on hold for a while though.

Ohhh no!! I am so sorry that your had to go through that! A loss is bad enough but that would feel like you went through it twice

I'm glad to hear that your okay now and home.

I don't post too much around here but I just wanted to offer you my support. The same thing happened to me in 2009. I thought I had a miscarriage only to find out over a week later in the ER that it was an ectopic.....I ended up losing my right tube. I was just starting to heal from the "miscarriage" and it was like someone tore open a fresh wound, not to mention the physical pain of the surgery. My heart goes out to you an your family. I hope you feel better soon *Hugs*
