2011 Vacations

Do you have any vacations planned this year?
If so where are you going and when:

My answer is almost always the same. We're going to Disney.

It'll be our first time since joining the Disney Vacation Club (timeshare) and we're staying at Bay Lake Towers, which is connected to the contemporary via a sky bridge.

We are going to Carowinds for our anniversary in August.

In August we are going to Dillon (Silverthorne, and Breckenridge as well) Colorado. We always do a family thing there every year, or every two years--(There are 13 people in my family, including grandparents, cousins, etc) so we rent two condos and stay on the lake. I'm super excited because I had to miss it last time we went because I was sick. But, Dillon is one of my favorite places in the world.

Then in Nov, or Dec my grandparents want to take DH, Kiki, and I to Disneyland. I'm excited about that because I haven't gone since I was 17, and DH has never been!

We are not taking a full vacation this year, since I want to save my vacation time for maternity leave. We are planning on taking several weekend trips though. Chicago, St. Louis, Louisville, Columbus, Indianapolis, Gatlinburg and some camping trips. We usually decide when and where we are going about a week in advance.

We are going to Chicago in May. This is our first ever kid free vacation. We finish up our semester of school on May 6. May 9th is my 31st birthday. We will head to Chicago that day, do some sight seeing and then head to the games between the Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals (DH's fave team) on the 10, 11, 12th.

We are going to Chicago and I was wondering when the Cardinals were playing there . . . but I guess that's out since we aren't going until June!

We usually go to my in-laws in Maine for one of the long weekends of the summer, but that is pretty much it.

Oh and the Chicago trip is with the kids . . . Dh and I are going on vacation alone for our anniversary, but we haven't picked where yet.

We are going to Destin, Fl in May for a whole week and staying in a condo on the beach. I am so excited about it!! I LOVE the beach. Last year we went to NY cause my dh's sister lives there and got to take Ava to the beach for the first time. She really enjoyed it so we will prob do the beach as much as possible.

Nothing for 2011 but I am supposed to go to Fr Myers Florida next Febuary with my parents. It will be my first vacation in 5 years.

We are on spring break right now, so we are driving around the state (Iowa) seeing some of the sites that the tourists hit. lol I've been living here for 5 years and I am just now doing the tourist thing.

We went to the Bridges of Madison County today, and then had lunch in the cafe from the movie. After that we drove up to see the Freedom Rock (google it if you have never heard of it before) before heading back home.
