I had my first OB appointment today, and I am so happy about it!! I finally got my screening results back and the chances of trisomy and downs are 1:1900! I laughed so much when they measured my fundal height, I knew I was big but here I am at 16w4d, measuring 22 weeks!  They kept mentioning twins, and I kept telling them Ive had 4 ultrasounds, so unless one is REALLY good at hiding, theres only one! Ive lost 2lbs in 4 weeks, thank goodness cause I was concerned how quickly my weight was going up. My anatomy ultrasound was switched to the hospital instead of the clinic but its the same day so only 11 days til we find out the sex!! I cant wait! My blood pressure was raised in the office so he told me to get a monitor for home, and its normal here now, so maybe it was just some mistake in the office?
I think thats it, Im very relieved!

Jan. 2009: Came off years of BCP and started TTC
March 2010: BFP -- finally!
Oct. 22, 2010: Drew is born, but has to stay in the NICU because of cord complications resulting in oxygen deprivation and brain problems =(
Oct. 27, 2010: I held him in my arms while Daddy, Grandma, Great-Uncle and I sang him to sleep =( Hardest thing I've ever done...
June 14, 2011: Drew's baby brother or sister waved hi to us with a BFP!
June 25, 2011: Natural miscarriage... Can we please catch a break here?
Nov. 2011: 100mg Clomid followed by 2mg Estrogen, Ovidrel trigger, and 200mg progesterone suppositories 2x/day 14 days. BFN.
Dec. 2011: 2nd medicated cycle. BFN.
Jan. 2012: Took a month off to breathe...
Feb. 2012: Same regimen of Clomid and other meds, add IUI. 2 eggs and 8.5 million swimmers. BFN.
March 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-11, follie scan CD 8 showed 6 follies likely to mature. Triggered, IUI on CD 14, 4 million swimmers. BFN.
April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.
May 2012: 75 IU Follistim starting CD 3. Waiting to O. Timed intercourse. Likely 5 follies to mature.

That is awesome news! Your blood pressure was probably a little high because you were nervous being at the doctors office or you were very excited to hear the downs chances are so slim. 
I totally wouldn't worry about your weight gain. I gained 70+ lbs with all my pregnancies and lost the weight eventually. Are you thinking pink or blue?

LOL Missy! Why do you think that? (Actually, how did you know ) Its so funny, cause I think deep down I really do want a girl, if I could wave a magic wand and have whichever one I chose, it probably would be a girl. (cuter clothes, imo  ) But I really will be happy either way. Especially knowing Derek would chose boy if he could, and this will be his only little one. Either way, I just cant wait to see him/her. My ultrasound cant get here soon enough!

Because we secretly talked about it a very long time ago  I hope you get your pink but I know you will be ecstatic with either.
