Got my second opinion, and I am SOOOO happy!

Tonight I went to see the new doctor for a second opinion, and OMG what a difference. From the get go she saw a problem with me having 3 losses, whether they were back to back or not. She saw a problem with us not being able to get pregnant all of a sudden given our history of not having this issue before. She saw a problem with the fact that 2 out of my 4 cycles since the D&C have had be Oing at cd23/24 and lasting close to 40 days, when that's never happened before. All of these things were acceptable to my other OB, but not to her. So she's sending me to get the complete recurrent loss workup including the genetic karyotyping for translocations. She also told me to make an appt with an RE while I'm waiting for the blood work to come back. She listened to me and cared about what was coming out of my mouth and from my heart. For the first time I felt like someone cared. I told her that the other dr was great for the pregnant me, but they're not good for the other me- the me that's lost 3 babies and the me that's having issues getting pregnant. So, it's time to move on to someone who is good at that. I'm so done with my old dr!

That put a smile on my face. That is how I felt after my first appointment with my RE. Like finally someone cared about me. What a great day you had!

Oh it was such an amazing day! I feel like a completely different person. The two coworkers who were due two days before and two days after me are out on maternity leave. The last two days, simply because they're gone, have been absolute bliss. Then add this on top of it and I feel like I'm walking on sunshine. I've felt so defeated for so long that I forgot what the real me was like. Having a direction to go in, and someone who is willing to help me get there is an incredible feeling! When I finished talking to the dr I went out and gave Honey (the check out/referral lady I was telling you all about the other day) a great big hug and thanked her for listening to me on Tuesday and helping me to see I needed a change and helping me get there. She is an angel, I'm convinced of it!

By the way, you don't have to hide your siggies. I am so happy for you ladies!

I am so glad you decided to go to the new doctor! Even though you've been with your old doc for a long time, it definitely seems like the right change for you. I'm really happy that it was a positive experience and that they actually listened to you! Good luck with the testing! Hopefully they can help you get your rainbow baby!!
