How many nights a week do you cook? Maybe one or two nights a week
Do you bake? I bake one thing...Kentucky Derby Pie (although, I will do a boxed cake or brownies every once in a while)
Does DH cook at all? Yes, he cooks most of the time and is really good so I feel lucky!
Share your favorite recipe:

Kentucky Derbie Pie

~Single pie crust (homemade or prepackaged-I always get prepackaged)

Filling:

1/2 cup gutter, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
2 tablespoons Kentucky bourbon
Optional:3/4 cup-1 cup coconut (I don't know the exact measurement since I usually just dump a bunch in)

Preheat oven to 350.
Beat eggs with cooled butter. Add flour and sugar. Beat until mixed well. Stir in pecans, chocolate, coconut (if desired), and bourbon. Pour mixture into pie shell. Bake for 30 min or until set.

It is best when served warm and of course adding ice cream or whipped cream just adds that something special!

Do you bake? Yes, I love baking cupcakes We cheat a lot and use the box mixes.
Does DH cook at all? He cooked for himself for 10+years before we got together. I am sure if I asked him he would but I like to cook.

I need to think of my favorite recipe, that is a hard one.

How many nights a week do you cook? 0-1
Do you bake? I love to bake! Unfortunately DH doesn't like very many sweets so if I bake, I eat it all...and that's not good for the waistline.
Does DH cook at all? Gosh no. I don't think he can even boil water. It used to be a HUGE hot button in our marriage, but I've gotten used to it. But its also the reason we eat out a lot, which is nice.
Share your favorite recipe: I will in a bit.

How many nights a week do you cook? It depends - a couple
Do you bake? Yes, my family is always anxious for any special occasion to see what new and exciting desert I will bring for dineer
Does DH cook at all? Yes, and it's a good thing because if I had to cook every nigh we would eat cereal for supper often...haha
Share your favorite recipe: It's my favorite because it is quick and is usually a hit when going to a potluck dinner.

Cheater Cheesecake

Make a graham wafer crumb crust as directed on the package.

1 pkg cream cheese softened
1 cup of icing sugar
1 pkg of Dream whip (prepared)
1 can of pie filling (cherry, strawberry, raspberry....whatever you like) If you want it thick use 2 cans (I usually do for an 8X13)

If you like a thicker cheesecake use a square (8X8 or 9X9) pan. If you want it lighter (thinner) use and 8X13.

Prepare crust right in bottom of pan. Mix cream cheese and icing sugar until smooth. Add in the dream whip. Layer over the crumb crust. Layer the pie filling over the top. Chill before serving.

Do you bake? Yes, the kids enjoy it so I bake a couple times a month at least . . . when the kids are home in the summer we bake all the time and share the goodies with family and friends.
Does DH cook at all? Yes, am I am so happy when he does . . . I get tired of doing all the cooking sometimes.
Share your favorite recipe: A very simple recipe I like to make when it's cold that goes over well with the kids (since they love tacos) is Taco Soup. All you need to do is brown some ground beef and put in large pot with a couple cans of diced tomatoes, kidney beans, corn, & taco seasonings (add a cup or two of water if needed) and let it cook for a while on the stove. Then we put it in bowls and I let the kids top them with cheese, green onions, and corn chips. I have been making a lot of soups lately . . . other favorites are Loaded Baked Potato Soup, Chicken & Gnocchi Soup, and Pho.
