I am spending about $200 a month in just co-pays and we really dont have that disposable income.
I have to go back to my OB for the 5th ultrasound in this pregnanacy (only 2 of them the baby was acually still with us). I would not mind going so much if It was sneak peaks of my baby still alive and seeing the progess but it all checks are on how the miscarriage is progressing. Just pray this one shows NOTHING left and I do not need a $3500.00 D&C!!!!! And I dont need to see the DR again until I am pregnant this summer (I hope)
Then I went to my Family DR to get second guess testing on the PCOS diagnosis of my OB and she took vials and vials of blood to test for stuff he never did (they both use the same lab so she just looked up my records to see what he already tested for). So now they want me to come back in to talk to me because we are not making progress with my Vitiman D (I am taking 2000mg a day and its not helping). I guess I also have anemia and she wants me to come in to talk about my options with that Uhhh. The nurse said with my miscarriage and blood loss I really should come in now but I cant afford 2 co pays in 1 weeks so I am pushing it to next week.
I have gone in 2 different times to complain about how extreamly tired I always am so this time she said I want to check you you for anemia because that could be the reason.
OH wow so could the Anemic thing have another thing to do with my miscarriages? We already learned that something is happening when the placenta starts working. Isnt that when we start to share blood?

A woman who is anemic from having pregnancies too close together can suffer from miscarriage or prolonged bleeding after birth.
|
This is what I found... but I would ask your doctor about it. HUGS!!! And I know the feeling I hate having to pay co-pays as well as having to have an ultrasound for crappy reasons. I really hope it shows everything is gone and you can heal now!

I felt the same way during my MC. I finally switched doctors because I was sick of having unecessary ultrasounds. If you're still bleeding, they are going to tell you it's not all out.
When I went for one of my numerous USs, the woman said, "I don't see anything, but because you are still bleeding, I cannot rule out leftover particulates."
After I switched, my new doctor said to forget about the USs and just see what happens. He said that there was not enough left to cause me to hemorrhage. If I didn't stop bleeding, I could come back in and do some sort of fancier ultrasound. I don't remember the name, but I can go dig up my post if you're interested.

You never actually share blood with the baby, things just pass between your blood and the baby. Anemia can also be caused by all the bleeding, and may go away completely when your body is back to normal.
Hugs!

Thanks for the info... Maybe I should ask my DR about the Anemia Thursday?

The reason they are still checking on me is because of how long its been since baby passed away.... I am getting into the danger zone with infection and stuff.
I thought the bleeding was slowing down but this morning its heavy again and I passed a pretty large clot. Just hope it all hurrys before Thursday.
I also took a high dose of cytotec and went into labor so I think he wants to make sure there was no damage done to my Uterus from the violent contractions.

She checked my blood before I was even bleeding... it was 2 weeks ago. I guess they had the wrong phone number for me so they finally sent a post card for me to call.

Are you taking prenatal vitamins or any vitamins at all? I would make a quick call to your doctor - I have been anemic most of my life and just take extra iron

I am on a cocktail of crap
1000 mg of D
Prenatals
Calcium with added D
Extra folic
I called this morning and asked what I can do about it and they said the DR really need to see you... UGH I hate it when they do that. Im sure she is just going to tell me to take supplements.
No DR's around here will do crap on the phone they all want you to come in for everything.
What DR should I call? I called the one who did the blood test this morning and they wont tell me anything on the phone other than I need to be seen ASAP.
Wonder if this is something I can bring up to my OB and he can treat it so I dont have to go to my other DR and save a co pay?

Lindsey I agree with Missy about taking iron. I can't see where you would need to wait that long but I think they need to put you on iron so that your less anemic.
Your OB should be able to check your iron as well and should be able to request the results from your doctors office. Your doctors office cannot refuse to give you your medical records so I would ask for a copy to take to the OB.

Some doctors will do that, but it's not common. I think it's fear of a malpractice lawsuit and maybe their insurance requires them to not prescribe medicine without seeing the patient.

I am anemic and I am iron pills Sometime when my blood gets to low they up the dosage of my iron. Sometimes my periods make me a little bit more anemic if I have a bad period. Its something my regular doctor watches a lot.

How are you feeling hun?
Well I am going to go in tomorrow ad see what she says. I guess there are many different forms and different types of supplements to get so I need to see what she says.
I was hoping to find something wrong to maybe explain my losses and now it seems like all the sudden EVERYTHING is wrong with me.
My bleeding picked back up real heavy with large clots again so not sure what that means.

I would let the doctor know that your bleeding as picked back up. If you have heavy bleeding that can make me more anemic.
I am doing ok. I am going to post an update.

I was already before any bleeding started and I had no had a period in 3 months when they took blood.
So I hate to see what the levels are now.
I do feel sooooo drained but I just figured it's from the miscarriage and trying to take care of a 3 yr old at the same time.
