Do any of you own a charity or work closely with one? Do you do volunteer work?

I don't own a charity, but there are some local charities that I donate to frequently and I also donate to the VVA.

The only volunteer work I do is a police officer. In college I was a rape crisis counselor. I would love to do that here but I don't know that there is a group or program that does it in this area.

I work for the YMCA and in a way that is a charity. I also give to our campaign and United Way which helps us out. We don't turn anybody away. We try to give everyone a membership that wants one.

I used to volunteer at an animal shelter when I lived closer to one, but now I'm only able to donate money, clothes, and household goods to the local thrift stores (one benefits people and one benefits animals). I wish I was able to do more.

If anyone owns a charity, I am looking for one to partner with and donate to through my job. I hope this is not considered spam, I am not looking for money at all. If it is, let me know and I will delete it.
