i recently found out i was pregnant. i had 2 mc before and now i am only about two-three weeks pregnant the doc took a sono and a sack was not showing yet. i have to go back in two weeks for another sono. he also told me not to have sex should i worry?

At two -three wks preg... you wouldn't even know yet ?

And even at 4wks.. you might not see the sac on U/S. What are your dates? What is history? Any reason not to have sex like IC? Or early bleeding?

My guess is you are to early to see anything on the u/s. I don't think there is reason to worry unless you are having signs of another m/c. I am so sorry for your previous losses.

well my husband is on active duty and i know we had sex march 3-march 5. then he went away again. before that it was months ago. i went to my regular doc for a physical and thats when he discovered i was pregnant. so even though i know they go back to my last period which was 2-19-2011 i know i am not that far gone. i have no bleeding or spotting. but because of my prior mc i am terrified

That would put you in the 5-6 week range I would think based on LMP. If you are in the 4-5 week range you wouldn't see anything on the u/s or very little. Usually 6-7 weeks is when they will see something. Its hard to not worry after a loss. Try to relax and enjoy being pregnant. Not sure why the dr told you not to have sex if you aren't having problems. Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

my previous MC's i only made it to six and seven weeks. so i am really unfamiliar with sonograms i guess thats why i am so on edge. i have no children yet and wanting this pregnancy to really happen

If your last period was 2/19 it would make you due November 26 and put you at 4weeks 3days today. I say that is too early to see anything on ultrasound.

Yep, you are considered 2 weeks pregnant AT conception (this is a hard concept to wrap your head around sometimes.) But my LMP is 2-18 and I ovulated on Mar4 and I am 4.5 weeks along today. So even though I concieved only 2 weeks ago, by pregnancy standards I'm considered 4 weeks. Also 4-5 weeks is too early to see anything on U/S from what I understand...my dr said they won't even do an u/s til 6 weeks because there is nothing to see before then so I wouldn't worry too much. good luck!

I agree with the others. It would be too early to see anything on US. Try to relax (easier said than done, I know) and at the next US they should be able to see the baby. Keep us posted!

Relax and keep yourself occupied... it does seem early to see anything.... Good Luck on your next appointment!

Not all u/s machines are the same either. Some will detect images sooner than others.

I am positive it is just too soon to see anything on the u/s. Some ladies don't see anything until 6-7 + weeks.
