Hi,
I will lay it all out on the table, I havent been on here to long so I do not know the right short words to say for everything so here I go.
I had a miscarriage on feb 9 2011 I bled untill feb 12 2011
I am now prego again.. which would make me how many weeks? I keep getting conflicting storys
I took my first test on march 15th faint positive- dollerstore test.
My second test march 17 dark positive- dollerstore test
My third test march 19 dark postive- dollerstore test and clear blue digital said 1-2 weeks prego..?
My fourth and final test was on 21 dark positive dollerstore test
I got my hcg tested on march 15th I was at 81.7 is this a good sign?
if anyone can help me I would greatly appriciate it... I hope this results in a healthy pregnancy...

Well you could be anywere from 3wks... to 5wks.. After you stop bleeding you could of ovulated at any time. Usually 14 days that would put you at about 3wks 3ds... If you ovulated earlier... you could be 4 or 5... As for the 81.7 HCG.. It is not the number.. it is the doubling time.
BUT the question is... Is this a NEW pregnancy or left over HCG. I had a m/c last year and I bleed for 3 days like you... and it took 5 more weeks after that initial bleeding for my numbers to reach zero. And were you checked out? Did you get that negative number, so you know for sure this is a new pregnancy?
I would call the Dr to make sure they are going to draw another beta, and than you will need an u/s to date the pregnancy...
Good Luck KUP!

I agree with Kary if you didn't have an AF before getting pregnant (I am guessing you didn't) then you would need to be sure your tests are from new hcg and not left over. I would imagine that once your numbers are high enough for them to see anything on the u/s they will do one for dating purposes. I am so sorry for your previous loss and hope this is a new healthy pregnancy for you.

I agree with Kary. I would definitely go to a doctor and have them do another HCG on you.
I am sorry for your loss.

Wow... If you are indeed pregnant that would be amazing! I heard that after a miscarriage it would usually take about a month to recover before you could even start TTC again. I'm about three weeks into my miscarriage and my HCG levels are still not at zero yet... I would check in with your doctor to make sure that your levels did in fact reach zero prior to your preggo test.
Hope it is good news! KUP...

I agree with the others. It may take a long time for your HCG to go back to zero after a loss.
I do have my fingers crossed for you that this is a new pregnancy. Good Luck

Sorry for your loss as well! If I might ask....how far along were you?
It took me nearly 4 weeks to hit zero after my loss in December, but my loss in Sept 09, it took only 2 weeks. Granted, my hcg was only in the 200s when I m/c so it was super low ...and I only mention that because it can happen quickly.
Just to be on the safe side - definitely go in and get a beta. Keeping my fingers crossed that this is a new pregnancy for you!

You have to get two betas to see which way it is trending. One alone is not enough.

Sorry for your loss!
I did have a pregnancy immediately after a m/c- however the m/c was at 4 1/2 weeks, so I don't think MY HCG got very high.
Did you do any tracking between your m/c and the + hpt? Such as a -hpt or any opk's? How far along were you with your m/c?
I agree with the others definitely have the doctor draw another beta.

Yes it can happen quickly... but it can take forever!!
For my loss in Aug-Oct 2009... My numbers Aug 28 31.77, Aug 31 91.02, Sept 4th 93.07 (The highest it got) I bleed for three days.... But was still testing positive more blood work showed..... Sept 14th 59.05, Sept 21 52.66, Sept 28th 15.84.. Than finally bleed on Oct 2nd. And tested negative. So for some ladies... even if your numbers are low... (93.07 is low) Your body can still retain the pregnancy. My Drs pushed for a d/c but I had, had one and it took my body 7 months to get back on schedule.

Hi ladies..
sad news... unfortunately again... #4 m/c
I did not even know that it could take that long to go down.. i swear no one is telling me anything.. I think i have learned more off this site then any other place i have been..
I believe in my heart and all the pain that I have been in that this was another m/c.. I didn't have any blood taken from the first m/c in Feb because it had happened so fast.. no sooner I got the reading on the test... I had a m/c.. it was heart breaking enough for me and the hubby we were not even trying again.. and then boom...
Ive never had this high of a reading of HCG.. so something to me is wrong.. the emergency doctor today told me to go see a fertility doctor... I wish doctors cared as much as we do.. when we lose our child... its like they look at us like we are crazy... ..
I know one day Ill be a mother its just I might need a little help and I hope someone finally listens to me after this... Thank you all for being so kind and helping me understand this process.. If anyone has anything that they think might help me... Ive been told that I have no trouble getting pregnant its keeping the baby past the early stages... I dont know what to think... All i can do is wait..
Thank you all again!
Baby dust to all who are hoping for a BFP!
We say goodbye to our newest angels..
