My name is Steph and I am mom to 4 great children they range from age 14-4, we have 2 girls and 2 boys. I have been married to my great husband for almost 20 years.

In 10/09 we were thrilled to learn we were expecting our 5th child. Our joy quickly turned to heartbreak and anguish. Around our first trimester scan we learned there possibly could be a problem with the his bladder and
kidneys.Then near Christmas it was determined that indeed there was an issue and basically incompatible with life..We lost him the beginning of the 2010.

I thought we would try to get pregnant within 6 months..but as time went on the more scared I became. Finally this past month I determined its now or never. Im not getting any younger I will be 39 soon ..

Hi Steph,
Welcome to TTCAL. I am so sorry for the loss of your son.

I am Karen and a mom to 4 (ranging 3-9). We too were hoping for #5 but two early second tri losses last year really squashed our hopes. I think I have convinced DH to TTC again so I will be on here more often. BTW I will be 40 in July.
