How were your periods after your loss? I got AF for the 3rd time today since the loss and ive never had cramps before the loss and now i am getting cramps and they stretch into my back and hips. I called the dr and can't get into him for 2 weeks, but just wanted to see if its normal for your period's to change after a loss like this?

Our loss was on the same day...I don't know how far along you were, I was 15 weeks along. Anyway, my period was awful for the first the second was normal...I'm about to start my 3rd. My first period was exactly 28 days after the MC (I gave birth and then had a D&C) and I bled for 3 weeks with horrible cramps and clots. My second was normal. I hope they get better for you

Honestly my periods went right back to normal after I had my first AF after my miscarriage. I haven't had any problems with them, except one last 6 days when they usually only last 4.

I don't have any experiences to add, I just want to say that I hope everything is fine and that you start feeling better soon, and hopefully get knocked up quickly

My periods have been forever altered. I get horrible cramps and AF's are now normally heavier. But I was also diagnosed with Endo while having my HSG/Lap done. It may just be your body getting back to normal or this might be your new normal but hopefully your doctor can take a look for you and make sure everything is fine

I'm in the middle of my first post-mc AF and the first 2 days were way heavier than usual...but luckily it has gotten lighter. I expected bad cramps but they weren't bad at all. I hope your cramps get better.

Mine actually got a litle more regular and a little bit heavier, which was actually sort of a relief because my cycles before my most recent losses (Sept 09 and Dec 10) were between 35-37 days and were maybe 3 days long with very scanty flow. That just didn't seem natural to me. It seems afterwards, everything got more "normal" which seemed to help a lot with my fertilty.
My PMS also seemed to normalize somewhat as well, and seemed to be more "typical" - actually had some breast tenderness and more defined moodiness after my losses. Prior to that, all I had was some bloating and that wasn't even very regular.

Michelle - My first 4 periods were horrible. I never cramped before and the cramping was so bad I almost went to the ER! I thought for sure that something was wrong. I ended up going to my doctor and getting pain pills for those days.
(((Hugs))) cramping sucks!!!

I'm 5 cycles out since my D&C in September, and my periods are a mess. I've always been 7 days, and that hasn't changed. But I was never a huge cramper and now I am. I get cramps so bad they radiate over my hips and down the fronts of my legs. AF stopped Thursday and I was just commenting to DH last night how I still have the cramps around my hips and down my legs. It's very bizarre, and is making me wonder if something is wrong. AF is also a lot heavier than it used to be. I didn't have this problem with my first two losses or after having DD and DS, and now I do. I don't get it. You're not alone.
