I think it's better to test late. I could have had a billion chemical pregnancies, but I'd never know it because I always test later.

I test early because I have to have my levels checked right away to see if I need anything

I don't test too early, it's stressful. I usually test 10 dpo or if I'm not sure when I o'd then the day of my expected AF.

I feel like it doesn't matter because either way I will over analyze it and stress myself out . . .

I think it is better to test late and historically I usually don't get a BFP until 14DPO or later (but that doesn't stop me from testing early, it's a little addiction).

If I have no trigger shot then I test when AF is due.... if I have a trigger shot then I normally test the trigger out... but I am thinking this next time I will not test the trigger out and just wait itll 10 or 12 days past ovulation so 13-14 days past trigger.... it can get pretty stressful to test it out.. who knows.. I do have a POAS problem...

I think that unless there's a medical necessity, it's better to test late. That being said, I have no medical reason for testing early, but I do it anyway. I'll probably start at 8 DPO, but am hanging on to the idea that I MIGHT be able to wait till 9 DPO. Seeing BFNs can get hard, and seeing so many in one cycle for some of our members who start testing several times a day at 6-8 DPO is too hard on me -- I tried that last cycle. I hope to limit it to once, in the morning, once I get to the point where I do start testing. It'd be nice if I could just test every other day at that point, but my willpower is lacking...

Oct. 27, 2010: I held him in my arms while Daddy, Grandma, Great-Uncle and I sang him to sleep =( Hardest thing I've ever done...
June 14, 2011: Drew's baby brother or sister waved hi to us with a BFP!
June 25, 2011: Natural miscarriage... Can we please catch a break here?
Nov. 2011: 100mg Clomid followed by 2mg Estrogen, Ovidrel trigger, and 200mg progesterone suppositories 2x/day 14 days. BFN.
Dec. 2011: 2nd medicated cycle. BFN.
Jan. 2012: Took a month off to breathe...
Feb. 2012: Same regimen of Clomid and other meds, add IUI. 2 eggs and 8.5 million swimmers. BFN.
March 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-11, follie scan CD 8 showed 6 follies likely to mature. Triggered, IUI on CD 14, 4 million swimmers. BFN.
April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.
May 2012: 75 IU Follistim starting CD 3. Waiting to O. Timed intercourse. Likely 5 follies to mature.

I start testing early. Although with 3 miscarries I need to make sure levels are going up and I need to make sure my progesterone level is ok. With that being said when we get pregnant again I am not sure what I will do.

I find that having an abundance of tests makes it harder to not test. It's so easy to think, "Oh what the heck, I have 50 of them."

I have tried both ways, and it is better to test late (unless you have a medical reason). However that just doesn't work for me. I'm way to neurotic.

I test late as well. I usually wait until AF is late. Last time I was over a week late before I tested. I hate seeing BFN's.

I test the day AF is due. No reason to bother before. But I have to go buy the tests when I want to test. I don't usually have them on hand.

I agree that its better to test when your actually due for AF. BUT I can't make it that long so I start testing usually to early. I am trying to make it tell 8dpo this cycle.

If I had the will power I would say when A/F is late but I am a very early tester 6dpo last time.
