Hi guys so I have had 3 consectutive miscarriages from September 2010 to February 2011. They were all very early around 5 weeks... On my last pregnancy they tested my progesterone level and it was at 13. They told me that was low for a 5 week pregnancy. But my hcg didn't double so the pregnancy was not viable.

They said on my next pregnancy they would prescribe me progesterone the second I get a BFP but I'd like to start progesterone 2 days after ovulation so I was going to buy natural progesterone cream to start 2 days after and if I get a BFP take the supplements from my doctor. I just have a couple questions... Where do I put the progesterone cream? Where can I get all natural progesterone cream not the fake kind? Anyone else have success stories with progesterone?

I'm looking for an advice really... I would love not to have another loss. Thank you.

I am sorry about your losses. I just had my third loss. We made it to 7 weeks which is the farthest we have made it. I also have los progesterone and I take prometrium twice a day for low progesterone. I don't know anything about the progesterone creams so I am no help on that. I hope the progesterone supplements is what you need to get your sticky BFP.

Welcome to the board. I'm very sorry for your losses. I also have low progesterone. I've never tried the cream, my doctor has me on the oral supplements after ovulation. I would talk to your doctor and ask if there is anyway you could do it right after O.

I am so sorry for your loss! I agree that maybe your doctor would let you get right on it after O. If you are looking for the cream though, I would look in a natural health food store.

I agree talk to your doctor and get the supplements. Can't hurt to ask. I'd try natural food/ health stores if you have to go the cream route.

This article is great... it brings up alot of improtant things you have to think about... Bottom line, you should call your Dr voice your concerns and try to get the prescription to start oral 2 days after Ovulation. Good Luck!

I was on prometrium supplements but it didn't help my outcome. However, don't let that discourage you. I had blood clotting tests done and I have 3 clotting disorders which were likely the problem for my two losses.

My progesterone at almost 4 weeks was only 8.9.

I was only on them once a day though. I am going to ask that I am on them twice a day next time.

I agree with the other ladies. The creams seem to be more marketed toward people who think it would help, whereas people who actually do have a medically documented issue with progesterone get scripts from a doc. From what I've heard from other ladies who need the progesterone supplements, you should talk with your doc about your concerns and try going the route others have mentioned above. I'm sure that wasn't the answer you were looking for, but it really is the best one.

I have heard that the cream isn't all that useful. Most of the brands don't contain the form of progesterone your body can use. I would talk to your doctor and ask for a script you can start after O. Are they monitoring you to tell you exactly when you O? You might think charting will tell you, but it can be pretty off, as I found out when I went for cycle monitoring and temped at the same time (and I am a very good temper - too much practice ). I use progesterone suppositories but only start after O is confirmed by u/s.
Good luck!!

I wouldn't waste your money on the cream. I tried it for several cycles and it never helped
