So far, I have had absolutely no signs of miscarrying. I'm just still nervous. I really hope the dr gives me an u/s. I'll be updating this thread tomorrow morning when I get home. Oh my gosh.... excited and nervous and anxious and missing my Angel as we pass this milestone... Prayers please!
UPDATE:
So the appt was a little disappointing. We didn't get that u/s because our insurance doesn't cover ultrasounds until 12 weeks+ except for some kind of medical emergency. Stupid POS insurance. We gotta wait until the N/T scan just to see our child, which wont happen until somewhere between 11 weeks and 14 weeks. The Dr made it sound like there wouldn't be anything in there to see. I'm thinking that's crap because my mom saw my bro with a heart beat at 6 weeks. I think he was just trying to make me less disappointed, but it didn't work. He did say the beta of 169 at 4 weeks was a little low. :/ He said it's gotta be in the few thousands at least by the next blood draw which will hopefully be sometime in the next week or so. He did give me a pap smear and breast exam which both hurt (especially the breast exam). He needs to be more gentle. He's respectful, and always lets me know before he does things, but he needs to be a bit less rough.
I want a doppler so I could at least hear the baby's heart beat and not have to wait quite so long. What's a good one to get/rent? How soon will I be able to hear the heart beat?
This appt did nothing to alleviate my nerves..

Many prayers skybaby. Update PAL too hun. Don't worry its totally normal to worry. As I went through my milestones I was at the dr 2x a week for heartbeat checks for just over 2 weeks. I haven't had any signs that anything was wrong but after a loss you still worry. Can't wait to hear about your wonderful appointment.

Ugh I am so sorry that your insurance won't cover it. Would they cover it if you went to the ER saying you were having cramping?! You could always do that if they would. I'm not sure where you can rent dopplers but I have heard of women buying them off ebay.

That's a great idea.. definitely made DH chuckle.. I might just try that one. If our ER even has a stinkin ultrasound machine in it.. Our town hospital is very limited and nothing more than a minor sickness clinic.

I am sorry they didn't do an u/s. I would be very upset as well. I did hear my DD's hb at I think 8 weeks pregnant. She was my 2nd baby though so I am not sure if that matters or not. I am not sure where I rented it from but I did rent one for like a month to make me not freak so much.

I am sorry you didn't get to see your little bean. I do know you can rent dopplers but I don't know where you can rent them.

I'm pretty pissed. Not at my dr, but at this stupid pos insurance. My husband isn't even the least bit annoyed by this. He saw this as all good news. No news just stresses me out more.

Kira, I'm sorry that you didn't get to see your little one. I would not be able to wait until the NT scan, that is for sure. I would be at the ER with "cramping" or just shell out the money for an u/s... they might be more affordable than you think (I don't know if you have any extra cash laying around though). Did you ask how much it would be out of pocket?
