Has anyone had severe lower back pain during ovulation? I had to take vicodin in the night for it and again this morning and it's not even touching it... I have to go have BT done today after work but at this point I don't know how long I'll be able to work.

Maybe a different type of pain killer would help. I would ask your doctor. I had a killer sore throat once (it was a BAD infection where I couldn't even swallow) and they gave me a narcotic and the paint did not lessen at all. I ended up needing a steroid, but that was because of the infection. I don't think that's what you need.

Anyway, my point is not all pain medicine work for the same pain. So, call your normal doctor and tell them what you tried then ask for a suggestion. Maybe ibuprofen would help. You have to take 800mg for the anti-inflammatory to kick in, just fyi.

I get pretty bad O pain on medicated cycles, sometimes to the point of hurting to stand up.
Try a heating pad on your lower back.

I can't take the 800mg ibuprofen because it messes with my stomach too much as does percocet. I put a call into the doctor this am and I'm waiting to hear back The nurse is worried I might have a kidney infection so I might have to go in.

Thanks Sam! I slept with the heating pad all night and it didn't help but once I'm off work I think I'm going to try it again.

June 14, 2011: Drew's baby brother or sister waved hi to us with a BFP!
June 25, 2011: Natural miscarriage... Can we please catch a break here?
Nov. 2011: 100mg Clomid followed by 2mg Estrogen, Ovidrel trigger, and 200mg progesterone suppositories 2x/day 14 days. BFN.
Dec. 2011: 2nd medicated cycle. BFN.

Feb. 2012: Same regimen of Clomid and other meds, add IUI. 2 eggs and 8.5 million swimmers. BFN.
March 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-11, follie scan CD 8 showed 6 follies likely to mature. Triggered, IUI on CD 14, 4 million swimmers. BFN.
April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.

Thanks ladies. Still having this weird pain but it's not like it was yesterday. Yesterday it was stabbing pain that didn't let up... today it's more like pinches here and there. Hopefully it's a good sign
