O well, on to the next cycle...At least this cycle was only 31 days, not 40 days like last time.
I do have some concerns/questions that I know you super smart ladies can help with.
I didn't get a positive OPK until CD18 and it was positive until CD21. I am not sure if I even O'd and if I did that's a short LP, right?
I'm gonna get IC OPK's and HPT's for this cycle which ones do you all use?
I'm trying not let AF ruin my day, but it's so depressing when she shows.

It's hard to tell when during that period you may have O'd. Sometimes our bodies / OPKs are really funny, so you could have O'd anywhere from CD 18 - 23, but your most likely bet being CD 19 or 20. Then if your cycle was 31 days, you'd be looking at an LP of 11-12 days, which is considered short by some docs, but fine by others. (Some docs want an LP of at least 12 days, while others want one that's at least 10.)
I use Wondfo HPTs & OPKs sold through Amazon:
Amazon.com: wondfo opk
(Pink handled HPTs, blue handled OPKs)
If you could chart your basal body temperature you'd have a better idea of exactly when you O and how long your LP is
And the witch is set to show tomorrow for me, so I'll be in the bad-day boat tomorrow probably. Still BFN this morning. Shoot... Sorry to hear about yours, too.

April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.
May 2012: 75 IU Follistim starting CD 3. Waiting to O. Timed intercourse. Likely 5 follies to mature.

Sorry AF showed!
I get the ones off of Amazon. They seem to work well. They also have combo packs of opk's and hpts.
It does sound like a short LP, have you ever had any bloodwork done? (sorry don't remember)

Thanks Erin, sorry you got a BFN I think I'm just gonna try one more cycle using just OPK's(I used answer brand last time and I'm hoping the IC's will better like I have heard)

Sam, I have never had any bloodwork done, I have had a healthy pregnancy before so my doctor didn't see any reason to do any. In July it will be 1 year ttc and she said we could do some then if I have not had a sticky pregnancy.

Boo on AF! But 31 days is definitely better than 40 - at least now you know and can get excited about this cycle
I also use the Wondfo tests and order through Amazon. You just can't beat the price, especially if your cycle length varies and you might have to test for awhile.

I'm so sorry AF showed!!
I have been using OPK's from the Early Pregnancy Tests website and so far I've liked them. My friend sent them to me so I'm not sure about the price but I think they're pretty cheap.

Are you trying anything different this cycle other than OPK's?

Yes, I should have listened to everything that was said about them, but I had already bought them and DD opened it so I just used them. NEVER again...
I hope the IC's only give me 1 or 2 days of positives not 4!

After researching a bit, I think I should start temping too. It seems so complicated and scary though!

Temping drove me nuts but I know a lot of women do it You also might want to take B6 to lengthen your LP this cycle.

yea, I'm not sure it's for me. I will probably just end up using the IC's I just ordered and hopefully they will be more clear. I am reading about the B6 also, I'm gonna run it by my Dr. tomorrow.

There are a few things you can do to make temping easier. I'm a lazy temper... So I only start temping on CD 8 or 10, maybe even just every other day, until I get a + OPK. Then I temp every day until I have three high temps and crosshairs on Fertility Friend. Then I put the thermometer down. Then I pick it back up starting about 3 days before I expect to see AF, just so I can watch the temp and see if she's coming on a particular day. I like to be prepared.
You could actually start temping on CD 10, just every other day, then temp every day once you get your + OPK, then temp until O is confirmed. Or if it's normal for you to O later, you could start on CD 12 or 14, every day or every other day... In other words, you don't have to be a temping fiend. You can use an abridged version
Oh. I temp vaginally, and I SO prefer it to temping orally. My temps are much more normal looking, because there's really not much you can do to mess up a vaginal temperature Temping orally can get messed up even if you breathe through your mouth while sleeping... Although lots of women are successful with it, vaginally works better for me.
And if you start, make sure you specifically get a basal body thermometer, and really you'd like it to measure to 98.xx, not just 98.x. You can order them offline for pretty cheap, and CVS carries a good store-brand one, which is what I use.
Hope that wasn't too much, just wanted to lay out some basics for you

Yeah, they do not work at all. I am shocked that they are even able to sell them on the market. Go with the wondfo brand. I honestly never thought that something so cheap would work so well!
Here is a picture of a test from last year. I have a bunch of them somewhere with all sorts of different brands but honestly the answer brand never told me I ovulated at the right time. It was usually 4 days past ovulation that I would get a + on the answer brand. Here is one of the pics I took:

It was very confusing... I already ordered the Wondfo's
