In the process of TTC I need clomid to make my ovulation work properly. This makes my hormonal emotion swing.
Like really tonight my best best friend told me that they are 10 weeks along (also have a history of losses) I started crying. I am really happy for her and her husband but that reminds me of what we do not have. I might feel that I am selfish but I know that I am ok and that if I did not take the clomid I would not feel this way as bad.
It has been a baby boom around me here and that does not make matters better.
It could also be that it is the time of the month time so I am hoping for good news here.
Anyone know what I am talking about?

I'm not on clomid so I can't relate in that way. But, I do understand the emotions that come up when it seems like everyone around you is having a baby. I have 2 really good friends who are pregnant and, although I'm extremely happy for them, I'm also really envious (for lack of a better descriptive). And it bothers me when I hear them complaining about morning sickness or being tired or all the other things that come along with pregnancy...things that I am can't wait to have. I don't say anything to them because I understand their complaints are valid, but it does bother me. There are so many emotions that come with TTC, whether you're on medication or not, especially when you've suffered a loss. Medications can just compound those. Just remember that it's ok to be upset and frustrated.
I really hope you will be able to give your friend the same great news soon!

I'm not taking clomid either, but I'm an emotional wreck at certain times of the month, or when I see a baby IRL or on tv, or a sad movie . . . okay I'm an emotional person! It has taken dh 12 years, but I think he is finally learning just to let me have my outburst and then everything will be back like it never happened in an hour. . .

Thank you ladies! It will be okay. I know I won't be on clomid forever.

Is there a reason you're specifically on Clomid and not Femara? I've never TTC with MA but I thought they were for the same thing, and from what I've heard from the girls here, it seems like Femara makes people go less crazy.

I'm not on clomid but after having 3 losses I can totally understand the emotions you are having. I am very lucky that no around me is expecting. I don't know if I could handle it if there was.

I think the doc prescribed clomid due to cheaper price. I did not know about femara before this board so I will check with the doc about this. Does anyone know if there is a price differene? Currently I pay $18 for my 100mg clomid that I take for 5 days.

I took Clomid for probably close to a year total throughout the past 2 years. This was my first cycle with Femara. I was paying $30 for the 100mg of Clomid. I paid $40 this month for 12 pills of Femara.
Clomid has made me a CRAZY lady. I had horrible side effects from it and I plan to NEVER again take it. Femara has given me really zero side effects. I O'd earlier with it and the only thing I noticed was I had some pretty nasty pain while Oing but they said that is normal.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask me

I just wanted to add that I can totally relate to the difficulties of being surrounded by pregnant people. I went to Bunko last night and five of the girls were pregnant. I am sooo excited for them all (several needed MA to get pregnant) but it just makes you feel your lack more keenly.
I hope this next cycle is your lucky one and you get your BFP soon!
