Hi all. I had a missed m/c and a D&C 7 weeks ago, and I am still testing positive on hpts. I first noticed the positive on Monday (I didn't track my hcg after I lost the baby) and at first I thought I was pregnant again. But the positives have remained faint or gotten a bit fainter since, and now I wonder if my hcg has never fully dropped. Is that normal?

I know eight weeks is in the acceptable range for getting a period after a D&C so I'm torn between waiting it out another week and going to see the ob to find out if there's a reason my body is retaining the pregnancy hormone. I don't feel pregnant, and I'm nervous something might have gotten left behind during the D&C. I'm past ready for everything to get back to normal.

I would call the OB and have them check things out. That seems a little long and you are still testing positive. So you might have something going on that needs to be addressed. Sorry you are still waiting on AF.

I agree with Jess. I would call and see if they can do a BT to check your levels as well as a ultrasound to make sure you do not have any retained tissue. If you have retained tissue that could be why your levels aren't dropping like they should. HUGS!

I am so sorry for your loss! I agree with Katie and Jess. I think you should call the doctor.

I agree with the others. It's definitely worth it to go see your doctor and get everything checked out.

I'm so sorry for your loss!
