What do you do to save money?
I go into my online bank and click "Transfer Money" and move money into my checking account. I know that's not what you were asking. Let's see. I refinanced my house to get a lower interest rate and sill put extra aside so it will be paid off faster. I always pay mu full balance on my credit cards, so I never pay interest. We don't eat out.

I will buy off brands most of the time if they meet my same picky requirements of the name brand. For example, I shop at Whole Foods only for food. They have their own brand (365) of cheese that I will not buy because it's hormone free but not antibiotic free. Their chocolate bars are Free Trade and taste great, so we buy those all the time.

Milk, yogurt, butter. Looks like dairy.

Sorry, scatterbrained, just gonna answer part of this question...

Automatically direct deposit paychecks electronically. Ours come on the 1st & 15th. Pay off the bills right away, then put money in savings before doing any fun spending. Then if an emergency comes up you can always pull the money back out, but at least you're not looking at your savings as part of the money that's available to you to spend willy-nilly.

What do you do to save money? Lately I've been thinking, not enough. I just don't spend a lot of money. A lot of the activities I enjoy the most don't cost money.
Do you usually buy brand names or off-names? Both, it depends on the products.
Is there something you only by brand name of? toilet paper, milk, dog food (my dog has allergies), lotions (I have allergies), there's probably more I just can't think. I usually try the off-names at least once before I make up my mind.
