Blue eyes from my daddy, awful frizzy brown hair from them both

Pretty much anything with a ton of chocolate. That, or pecan pie, or pumpkin pie. I love 'em all.

That's hard... One of my favorites that's a little more obscure is called "The Art of Racing in the Rain." It's the story of the life and death of a dog, told through his eyes, and the life of his owner, wife, and children. It's really beautiful. The dog (Enzo) believes that being a dog is the last reincarnation before becoming human, hence why dogs are man's best friend. He also thinks that man conspired against dogs and bred out their opposable thumbs so that dogs couldn't take over as the world's premier species, and points to some dogs having dew claws as evidence of this. Really good book. Touching, funny, spiritual... Too great.

VEG OUT! lol. I used to have hobbies, but those are on hold for a while. When I have days off now I either spend them volunteering at the hospital or just sitting in front of the computer catching up on TV shows.

Pics to come Friday, I promise DH and I met while we were both stationed in Okinawa, Japan. We both worked as Public Affairs Marines, but in separate satellite offices, and only saw each other during weekly interoffice training sessions. Then I got moved to his office and we started off as good buds, then we were good buds who would sometimes fall asleep watching movies and wake up spooning, then we were good buds who fell in love!

Dessert was already covered -- chocolate, please! Those awful molten chocolate cakes at cheesy restaurants actually rank pretty high on the list...

Dream vacation?
We have two dogs, who I promise I'll post pictures of Friday. I'll even try to take new ones and not just pull from stock photos I already have uploaded!

My favorite vacation was when we spent 2 weeks in Ireland. We had no plan, just a rental car, tourist guide, and maps. It was amazing. We saw so many beautiful things. Two weeks was a little long though, we ended up taking about 4 days in the middle of the trip and ventured away from B&Bs to stay in a nice hotel and see movies, read books, and generally recharge.

Dream vacation would probably be touring the beautiful parts of Europe and focusing on food. The vacation would be all about trying new things, indulging, drinking wine, eating too much pasta, going to museums and soaking up all the beautiful art and culture... Either that or something completely insane, like spending a week in a far-off jungle with a guide to help teach us how to live off the land, gathering our own plants for food and hunting. I couldn't hunt, I would cry... But I could help prepare the food and cook it over the fire.

I think these GOTW threads would get more traffic if they weren't stickied. I never look in that section.

What age is/was your favorite age?
